I like the take it down and leave a note idea. Only thing I would worry about is if they are a neighbor they might know where your stands are and mess with your stuff.
I'd love to get lasik done but insurance doesn't cover it. They do have payment plans at alot of places but I have enough payments as it is so I guess I'll just keep using contacts.
Yeah more than likely you'll get the run around from the cops. Especially if your land isn't posted "properly". Which is nonsense because you know damn well if it was a cops property somebody would get arrested. There was a farmer near me that does a good job managing his property for deer. Had an albino buck on his land. A local scumbag went on his property and killed it. DEC told him they couldn't do anything because his land wasn't posted legally.
I had a lot of morning activity on my trail cams but now that I'm actually out there sitting I haven't seen much in the mornings. This past weekend I finally saw a buck chasing but that's really been the first morning activity I've seen.
I had a doe bed literally right in front of my stand one time. I didn't wanna spook her so I ended up throwing something way over her head so it hit on the other side of her and she took off. She got spooked I guess but at least not from me getting down from the stand.
Set your alarm? Don't get drunk the night before?
Tips as far as what? It's no different than hunting the afternoon really. Probably the biggest tip is get to your stand well before daylight. I'm usually in about 45 minutes to an hour before sunrise.
You don't have to have the utility company do it. There are also plenty of private companies that can do it too many times for less. Where county is this cabin in?
Saturday I had a similar situation. Heard crashing and what not. 4-5 does come running through. Kept looking behind them. They take off finally. 15 seconds later I hear grunting coming and here comes an 8 point right after them. No shot as they were running and behind a lot of branches but it's still good to see.
I don't have a solution to the fogging problem other than contacts. Contacts have their own problems though especially for a new user (hard to get in and out, feel funny, get dried out especially in windy conditions etc)
