    I got up this morning and looked outside and said f that. Wind was blowing so bad I thought my house was gonna blow down. Went out this afternoon at 1pm until dark and froze my ass off in the wind. I thought the wind was gonna blow me out of my stand at several points. Saw two doe around 3pm coming from pines across golden rod back into the hardwoods but they were quite a ways out.

    I gotta say after hunting tonight in the wind that these hot hands are about worthless. One was worked good for about 45 minutes and then died. The other one never even really got hot. I know they say you are supposed to take them out and shake them occasionally to expose them to air and reactivate them but that didn't seem to make a difference.

    That's irregardless really. The fact is if people identified their targets before shooting this would never happen.

    Well just like I was worried about it was so windy this morning I thought my house was gonna blow down. Hopefully it calms down this afternoon so I can get out .

    Cold weather and some snow coming tonight into the morning and it's gonna be cool all week. So now I'm off till next Monday and gonna put some serious stand time in. Hopefully this new weather brings he movement. My only concern is the wind.

    It also seems the weather has been terrible the last few years. I seem to recall snow on the ground every season for opening morning when I started hunting. Damn global warming

    If the property owner is saying nobody but you should be back there ask her what she wants to do. See if she'll allow you to be the "manager" of the property and police it. Any trespassers you find, call the cops immediately. You got good pictures of them, the cops might even know who they are.

    In all realty the thief is gonna put the antlers on his wall and claim it was his deer to all his buddies. That or somebody who just wanted to screw with your friend by stealing his trophy. I hope they catch them but truthfully the odds aren't good unless the word gets out and somebody that knows something speaks up.

    Sometimes ^&*$ happens (pun intended). There has been times where I couldn't make it back to the truck let alone the nearest store. I would think somebody would make an attempt to at least cover it up with dirt or something though but then again people are idiots. I don't think it would bother the deer. Just remember, people advocate peeing in scrapes.
