  8. I am scared of heights so I don't go that high usually 10 to 15 feet . Most of my trees have pines right behind them so i have cover . last year i shot a doe on opening day I was ten feet high and she was eight yards away she had no clue I was there as well as another doe that hung around for a few minutes that did not spot me.
  9. Went out Tuesday morning seen about 2 new scrapes and a bunch of fresh rubs followed a line of rubs from one side of the mountain to the other
  10. I feel your pain I started getting sick on Monday after work I work up Tuesday morning feeling like hell I took an extra hot long shower which helped a little bit. I didn't want to waste the holiday ( choices were to pick up leaves or go hunting ) I grabbed my gear regretting the entire way until I got into my stand I spent half the day seen a few small deer then spent the other half helping my buddy drag out and butcher a doe he killed. I hope I get rid of this by the weekend might try a couple of shots of nyquil to try and sweat it out. Hopefully this is not a sign of how the winter will go as I usually go all year without getting sick.
  11. I think it is going to be a great weekend , colder weather , dry , calm winds , good moon phase. Unfortunately I am working this weekend. I am hoping to get out for a few hours on Saturday afternoon if there are no major emergencies at work.
  12. Thanks I don't have too much experience with coyote I thought they had more effect on the deer. The ones I seen looked a little different than the one In the link the head and half the face about up to the eyes was black , rest of the face was grey/white , back and tail was black/grey with a grey body. Would this be some type o a coyote mix ?

  16. I have not seen deer from my favorite stand in the three times I went out this year. Today I noticed three coyote passing behind my stand. My question is will deer come back to this area or is it shot for the season. I have seen a few fresh scrapes and rubs on the way out today.
