Just be easy posting about hunting with that tungsten, #8 is the smallest shot size legally allowed, until next year. #9 will be legal. Dont have to worry about me but others may get ornery about it. Id gladly pay a fine for being extremely ethical, and that the turds in control dont understand. That and those longbeards look good! both pattern well with my guns too!

Indeed.  For the record I'll be hunting with those longbeards if I do any public land.

  2. For comparison, that's a really big pellet count difference.  Tweaked it down a smidge after that TSS round.

I found some 3.5" #5 XX and used those to tweak it up at 20 so if I hold halfway up the neck the head just disappears, then walked it out.  The XX pattern was useless past 30 though.  Toying with the idea of getting a box or 2 of the federal TSS 8,10 combo.

I guess it's possible there's another hen who shows up in my back yard every year with an 8 inch+ beard?  Maybe these other pictures show it better

    How’s it shooting?

Shoots the 3" #4 ok at 40.  I have 2 rounds of 3 1/2 #5 left.  8 rounds of the federal tungsten 3 1/2", which shoots very nice.

I'll take a shot with it at 20, and 50 after I strip and clean her!

I like a good thunderstorm just before dark when they are getting ready to go to roost. This seems to scatter them up a bit, and they seem more  likely to come in quickly.

This, exactly.  Thunderstorm, downpour, followed by calm clear.  At 2000 feet you can hear every gobbler for a mile at false light.

^^^ This. That design is to hook the clamp onto a loop in the shoulder stock and to attach a standard front mount to rails on an AR, then use the traditional sling mount on that.

I talked to the very nice folks at sumtoy this evening. I believe it’s a husband and wife outfit out of Georgia. I was looking for a mount for a new toy and she said if they don’t have it they’ll make it tomorrow and it will be in the mail by Wednesday. Hard to beat a company with service like that and only 50$ shipped. If you’re still looking their number is (912) 237-4360

You sir, are a fount of knowledge in addition to being a hell of a pistol instructor.  Ordered the sight after I ordered the base from a nice lady with a southern accent.  Appreciated!

I’ve been saving the legs of the spring turkeys I’ve shot for a few years now. I keep them in a little bucket in my garage. I saw this ruler for measuring the spurs and bought it ( there’s a sucker born every minute). It is pretty cool though. This is the biggest one.844309FD-13FF-479B-804F-DEDC02B5641A.thumb.jpeg.c614c46aafc665cd5d78b791d1e37c29.jpegD112AFE8-58EB-4BF2-868C-20F433924A4D.thumb.jpeg.c8397783b507e7709905d9e49ab7e97d.jpeg

Attack are lighter and quieter, if you decide to give them another go.  Going a size up is the right move with them.  Feels like their pants are designed for toothpick legs if you go to size.

I haven’t tried these yet but have tried first lite “junk” kuiu “bad fit and loud” I really don’t like the athletic fit of this style of pants. I walk a-lot and am not in bad shape but I am not built like an Olympic runner. Do the SKRE’s follow the others in the athletic fit,

Which KUIU did you buy?  Attack?
