While watching Silverado last night with the wife I ordered the ultra down pants in a size up. Tired of packing in my monstrous bibs on cold days, and my legs are always the first thing to get cold.

Yeah please let me know what you think, especially for warmth. The price tag of going all in and getting a full on layering system is about...... 1700 to 1900. Don't want to do it unless this stuff is superior to Sitka.

We'll see how the pants do this weekend with a fleece base layer in the cold. I keep staring at the 230$ down jacket on their site and teetering. Talked to customer service today and they said probably next week before I get my refund back for the guide gear.

First year I've not even drawn the bow since I started bow hunting 10? Years ago. Only getting out 3 times will do that. Hope the wife remembers the sacrifices I made in October during the next 3 weeks!

They'll get in by virtue of their weak ass schedule if nothing else. As long as they don't have the chiefs or pats round 1 they got a shot to win a game too. I still like the direction the organization is headed in general. I want to get 100% behind Allen so badly, but he's turning the ball over twice almost every game. If the defense allows more than 21 points in a game it's a loss.

Contemplating moving a stand, found a real active spot. Minimum 2 hours, the I'd be late for the evening sit....... Feels like I spend more time moving stands than hunting sometimes

You should be happy with that aspect then. I needed to throw my light coat on my legs this morning to warm up. Lighter base layer underneath. Sub freezing probably need fleece under and bibs for a sit. Makes me want the ultra down pants.

Meant to post that last night. Busted some serious brush scouting past 2 hours. These pants are extremely Burr resistant. Ticks show up on then really well too.

I think I said this already, but I sent back my guide set, and ordered the same pants as TC. Talus Hybrid. Guide stuff seemed light, and didn't really work with a layering system I wanted to build up. Haven't gotten my refund yet, I think I mailed the stuff back 9 days ago. Going to wear the Talus pants tomorrow all day, probably with a medium base layer since it looks like it will be on the upper 40s all day. Waiting on the Kenai Ultra jacket to come back in stock, think it will make a great outer layer for early season sits, and a warm as hell mid layer for late season. Won't wear it while walk and stalking during gun.
