  1. Like you told me about bow hunting Dave, think about going through your steps : Exhale, Align, squeeze gently, should be a surprise to you when that gun bucks in your hands.
  2. Thanks man! Side note, if anybody do decides to order from KUIU for the first time, they have a referral system where everybody gets 50$ off a purchase. So if anybody is thinking of ordering for the first time, PM me your email and I'll send you a referral!
  3. Yeah it wasn't so much a question as an exclamation of joy. Did you call or email? I sent the email already. The jacket is a full 100$ off, I think I may just order it.
  4. I just told my wife to wait like 5 times I was so into that post. Congrats!
  5. I'd take Wiley old battle axe like that over a younger bigger buck every day. You know he's seen some stuff.
  6. Just sitting. Throw em in your pack, unroll and zip em on, when you start moving again unzip and the whole thing compacts into the left pocket. Maybe 1/2 the size of a football? I see the jacket in my future, sometime next year. If I can have all my sitting gear in my pack, and have it weight about a pound, I'll be much more likely to sit some of my deep woods stands.
  7. So. Pants. https://www.kuiu.com/hunting-pants-shorts/super-down-pro-pant/40012-VC-XXL.html Frigging warm. This weekend will be the real test, but, warm. And easy to take on and off. And throw in your pack. Definitely didn't need fleece base today. Taking them off to hike out was like rolling out of a sleeping bag.
  8. Sheesh. Super aggressive little spike just chased her right out of the plot. Little jackass.
  9. I saw........ Antlers! Is he a great yearling or a poor 2 year old?
  10. Flock of Turkey about 40, I should cut a shooting lane through that treeline.
  11. Sounds about the same as here. No big boys on cam in daylight yet. Think I'll eat my lunch in blind today.
  12. Well. Last time I'm sitting out here this year. Deer aren't here, no idea why. Willing to bet they're over in my favorite spots that I can't hunt anymore just to spite me.
  13. Pretty sure there's a doe and some fawns on the other side of this little knob. Something loud digging in the leaves. I thought around 645 somebody big rattled their antlers pretty good over there, I soft bleated but nothing. Going to try and hang in til 11, coldness isn't an issue.
  14. Some Turkey causing a ruckus about 100 yards down hill from me, no eyes no tails no blowing on my way in. Squirrelephants are doing their thing.
  15. Huh. Public servant, check. Thanks for the heads up!
  16. 25 degrees warmer than Saturday morning, almost hit a dumb fork horn standing in the middle of the road outside Renslearville around a blind curve. Lots of deer running around.
  17. Up and moving, white oak flat this morning, food plot this afternoon. Donkey Does better watch out!
  18. Remington 700 .308, Leopold VX2, 150 grain Remington core lokt. Shoots those cheap rounds like a dream. Shooting 2-3 inches high at 100, dead on at 200. Just checked 0 3 weeks ago, and still went 3/3 shooting freehand at 180 on a gong target. No gun excuses!
  19. Both! But I'd say afternoon, hunt a travel route downwind of a feeding area. If you have any greens available they seem to be desirable to them right now. But I suck at stand selection so, grain of salt.
