  1. You fellas talking about the mobil on 443? Sucks that the bridge in Renslearville is out, makes it take about 20 minutes longer to get over there from my stomping grounds.
  2. *sigh* My invoice expired too, just checked. That makes me sad, more for the loss of the shirt than the loss of the 18$. I'll consider the 18$ arrears for countless hours of entertainment and instruction. That is a good point about emails though, can any of the moderators take a backup of the site? I doubt I'm the only closet nerd on the site, but I'm in IT so if you need help or something let me know. Google will answer most IT questions.
  3. That's what I'm saying into come Friday, white oak acorns. Cameras on fields died down last week, and there's craploads of acorns on the ground. Gonna shift some cams into the hard woods on Friday.
  4. Went ahead and pulled the trigger on the pants and jacket. Probably the start of a horrible addiction.
  5. I found their stuff by reading about how they developed the camo pattern for Vias. The large broken up pattern is supposed to work well on deer / goats / sheep, ungulates in general. Reminds be alot of predator camo pattern
  6. I saw you wearing that in your tracking journal thread, I've had that site book marked for a year now. They're also one of the the only people that makes it for my Sig Sauer p220 Hunter. Thanks!
  7. Not to derail the thread too much, but stories like this, how in God's name is it illegal to carry during bow season?! I know encon isn't going to ticket me, I talked to the officer last fall, but C'mon NYS! There's some big damn black bears around.
  8. Thanks, checked them out, I like the price and predator style camo pattern from KUIU a little more so far!
  9. Curiosity gave the redneck the dry heaves. Christ. Which reminds me, I need to get a holster for my 10 mil that will accommodate the laser dot rail attachment. Thinking a front/chest rig, for those after dark tracks.
  10. Eyeballing new pants/jacket combo on KUIU, https://www.kuiu.com/hunting-jackets/guide-dcs-jacket/50011-VC-XL.html https://www.kuiu.com/hunting-pants/guide-pant/40003-VC-38.html Anyone have any of their gear? Seems to be pretty reasonably priced compared to Sitka, and I really like the camo patterns.
  11. Forecast low is down to 32 Friday night, frosty! Can't get out Saturday, 2 more weeks of Saturday soccer left
  12. Good luck fellas! Raining cats and dogs here, glad I made the switch to Friday. I'd be sleeping in the truck.
  13. Wood working is such a great skill to have. Wish I was better at it. I made a couple things out of some cast off maple from uncle's saw mill, and they turned out OK, far from great. Perhaps when I retire in 17 years....
  14. He'd give me a case of the shakes.
  15. I was wondering how you got such sweet pics WNY, that's frigging awesome. How much $$ it take to get the drone up and running if you don't mind my asking?
  16. I checked my cam on my new plot, not much of anything yet. There's just carpets of apples and acorns everywhere though. When I get out I'm going to hunt travel corridors for acorns in the morning, and apples in the evening.
  17. Nope, I like the idea of zipping up the tent and seeing what happens though!
  18. Friday looks like the day for me. Make the wife happier anyway, kid has soccer practice and she has a girl scout leader meeting on Tuesday. It's a long season, and Friday looks like the first REAL day of fall!
  19. Ugh. I'd happily punch a Pat's fan in the face right now. It's not enough that they cheat around the salary cap by paying Brady's shady corporation for "medical services", but when they're in danger of losing they go headhunting. Also someone tell Josh to stop leading with his head, and hucking the ball up for grabs.
  20. I've seen predators hunt and kill a lot of different stuff, that coyote didn't look like it was in attack mode. Looked more curious than anything. That being said, if I saw that you can bet I'd be scrambling for the nearest rifle/pistol.
  21. Yeah same deal near us, theft and jacking are still a problem. This is right at the end of the 5000 acres of state land you have to drive through to get to our property : https://parks.ny.gov/newsroom/press-releases/release.aspx?r=649 thats dated, it's been up and running for a few years now.
  22. That's a good use for one of those wagons. My wife bought one and it's been taking up space in the storage part of the basement for 5+ years.
