  1. That article doesn't seem to account for the fact that hospitals are no longer vaccinating only their own employees. Hospitals have been charged with providing vaccine to health workers in the community as well as first responders. For whatever reason, the first responders are not coming as expected. That might explain why hospitals have been slow to use up their supply. At my hospital, the overwhelming majority of employees have gotten the vaccine. I just got it this morning- I was the last in my department. Of about 70+ employee in my departments, only two declined. I don't know what NYS' plan is yet for making it available to the general public. But, hospitals are not set up for that yet- and haven't received nearly enough vaccine to meet the anticipated demand. I would imagine that it'll require a huge number of dispensaries and manpower as compared to what's available now through just hospitals.
  2. You could apply this same thinking to patients who suffer from health conditions purely resulting from their poor decisions and habits- obesity, smoking, etc.
  3. We use a scheduling system for our employees- managers make the appointments for our own people. This is how we know exactly how many employees have accepted the vaccine. At the very beginning, only employees were being offered the vaccine. Then, we were mandated to make it available to other front line workers in the community.
  4. I'm not getting the point you're trying to make. We are, in fact, vaccinating all eligible front line workers.
  5. My feelings aren't hurt- don't worry about me. Is this the question you're referring to? There is no mandate. Reporting 'compliance' of the staff accepting the vaccine allows us to better plan for staffing as it predicts how many front line workers will contract the virus while caring for positive patients. We are having a difficult time with staff due to a high number of clinical staff getting the virus. We know how many employees have received the vaccine because we know how employees we have and how many doses were distributed. As far as the HIPAA question, it's not an issue because there is no private health information involved- same as when the county reports the 7-day rolling average.
  6. Also as management make sure in these meetings you spell HIPAA correctly. You're right, spellcheck and grammar comments are a douche move.
  7. OK. Then, you should probably review this one also.
  8. Might want to have your spellcheck/grammar team review this one.
  9. Very cool. Is this blind meant to be semi-permanent, or do you set it up and break it down daily? How quick to set up and break down?
  10. I’m in management. We discuss compliance at daily meetings. And, as long as we’re not discussing an individual’s private health information, there’s no HIPPA violation.
  11. I don’t believe that for a second. My wife also works in another hospital and their rate is similar.
  12. The hospital that I work in has over 90% voluntary compliance from the staff. The only two of my 70+ employees who have declined are pregnant.
  13. I just got a grinder and I’m looking forward to making sausage next year. Where do you guys get your casings and supplies and recipes?
  14. Oh my, we've gone from delusions to fantasies. Dude, take your meds.
  15. Great article, thanks for sharing. That's a dream trip for me. So far, third meadow of Slough Creek is my best fly fishing trip ever.
  16. You're missing the point about the 'easy opportunity'. But, that's okay. I'll try to help you. The point is that, if mail-in ballots were so easily exploited, it would have been attempted by both sides equally. Pretending that only one side would exploit an easy opportunity and the other wouldn't, is just silly. As far as violating the Constitution, I'm opposed to it, of course. For example, I'm opposed to the idea of the POTUS demanding Georgia overturn it's election and disregarding the will of the people. Time to quit crying and accept the fact that your guy lost.
  17. The 'have a brain' part was in reference to Phantom's post. Not sure how the Trump Administration mailing out checks to dead people equates to only Democrats cheating on mail-in ballots. But, if that's what they're telling you to believe....
  18. They don't seem to mind meddling in states rights now as they keep suing individual states over the way the ran their elections.
  19. Wow, the fraud problem seems to be getting worse by the minute- the number of dead people receiving checks seems to have gone from 110K to 1.1M in a matter of minutes. And, regarding the potential for fraud from mail-in voting, again, what would make any reasonable person (even one with 'have a brain'), believe that only D's would seize on such an easy opportunity?
  20. Definitely not a brant. I agree with the suggestion of some kind of domestic goose. Might explain why it didn't exactly run away when approached.
  21. And only Democrats would have committed this fraud? Republicans wouldn't? You really believe this kind of nonsense? And all of the lawsuits and all of the investigations and all of the recounts could not find a shred of evidence of widespread fraud, but you still insist it was there and is the only possible explanation for why Trump lost. And the only reason you believe this is because he tells you to.
