Vaccination
Buckmaster7600 replied to johnplav's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Eventually I’ll have a big decision to make, quit my job and leave NY or get the shot because I work for andy and eventually it will be mandatory. I do not want the shot, I don’t feel I need the shot. My primary doctor at the VA is retiring early due to his refusal to get the shot and their new mandates. From everything I’ve found so far having already had covid I’m way more protected and less likely to spread it than someone that hasn’t and gotten the Vax. I’ve done/am still doing the research but I’m also looking looking into other free states for work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Vaccination

It’s yet another case of the cure being worse than the symptoms. The governments over reach “trump included” and throwing the sheep some crumbs to make them feel good about it is what caused all of this! Corona virus still has a 99.98% survival rate. Yet we’ve ruined many lives over it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Because that junk is made over seas and they aren’t having an ammo shortage so they aren’t having any issues getting they’re ammo on the shelves. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Biggest thing about a hay is not letting them mow anything after sept 1! Depending on the year you can be hunting over brown fields all season if it’s mowed to late. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Any one interested in another class? I’m open in June 27 and July 11 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Isn’t that the truth! The carrot dangle isn’t what scares me, it’s the ones munching on them that have me worried for our future. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Has anyone been asked to see proof of vaccine yet? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Luckily I am well stocked, I refuse to pay more than .20$ a round for 9mm for now. I should have enough 9mm to last me 50 years between ammo and components, especially if I can keep finding deals here and there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nothing worse than going out of your way to invite someone then getting ghosted by them. That’s why I fish alone 90% of the time! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m in the first half ton I’ve had in a long time and next year when this ones ready to get traded I’ll be back in a 250 with the 7.3 gas. I love my 150 and it does really well for what it is but I miss not having to worry. I won’t ever own another diesel and fords got the gas game won as of now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

At this point if you haven’t gotten stuck I don’t think a lottery ticket, free beer or cheese burger is going to sway your decision. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Ever run drift “trolling” bags? Makes trolling with a wind much easier! Tie the off your front cleats and it helps lock the front of your boat down and makes your boat much more stable in the waves! I run 28” drift bags off the front of my boat when trolling for Lakers on lake George if there is a wind. I know you’re using a bow mount, I troll with a kicker and get down to 1mph with just the kicker but boat control is much better with the bags down when it gets bumpy. I’ve eaten them out of some of the cleanest Adirondack lakes and still think they suck! It’s about the only thing I much prefer farm raised over wild. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I ain’t eating them, just something to do when I don’t have time to chase trout and salmon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone ever spend any time catfishing in New York? In the last few years I’ve caught some very nice catfish in some local lakes and on the Hudson River on accident. This spring I have spent some time actually targeting them and have been having a blast! The closest boat launch on the Hudson is 3 minutes from my house so it’s as handy as it gets. Biggest so far is 16lbs. From my research it should keep getting better as the water temp warms and the lay move into the channels. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What is the difference you’re seeing from years past? Around here there aren’t the birds there once was, the birds we have don’t gobble like they once did and there are at least double the hunters then there was when I started 20yrs ago. That being said I had a great year! I hunted 13 days killed 2 birds called in birds for 2 buddies and a cousin and had another buddy miss a bird as did my cousin. 7 out of the 13 hunts we had opportunities. 3 of the 5 birds were killed on public land. Our population is rebounding from the low a few years ago. The population in the Adirondacks is still climbing steadily. I also heard more gobbling this year than I have in the last 5 or 6 years. I think more if that had to do with the cold start to spring and season hitting more of the breeding peak than bird populations. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Went for quick hike this morning on public, there was a bird that wanted to die on the mountain. He gobbled 50 times from the roost and was still gobbling as I was headed back to the car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
