  1. If you can’t zero a scope in 3 shots you’ve got more trouble than 5$ a shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Got out on a local small lake, went out for rainbows ended up catching 20 jumbo perch. Not a bad hour of fishing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I’ve probably been 15-20 times so far this year. Glad I’m finally getting ice closer to home! Only target trout and salmon and an occasional walleye trip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Must have a college loan he wants us to pay for! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yea I have a lot of trust in this guy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. My point exactly, so you support this shit now you can quit bitching! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. When I got out of the Marines and moved back to NY I could carry concealed in 39 states, could instruct the classes in New York and 48 other states yet it took me 14 months to be able to take possession of my already legally owned handguns. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. You supported this shit too so don’t complain! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. You support the shit then bitch about it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I use a white light but don’t like head lamps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. What did they need guns for? Yesterday was a show of force. The pieces of shit politicians had an eye opening experience yesterday. They sit high and mighty in their chairs on the capital and think they can do what they want because they’re protected. Yesterday showed them that they aren’t protected because they’ve lost the support of those protecting them. Yesterday’s events have been planned for months. If I knew about it you can bet DC police knew about it. Yet unarmed Americans still walked into the capital, a building that’s supposed to be secure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Well DC is a pretty big city and the police moved gates and let them in yesterday... Nothing is never or always but the majority of military and police are on the right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. The protesters, rioters or what ever you’d like to cal them were let in by law enforcement. The one person shot was shot by law enforcement in a reported negligent discharge. This will get worse. There are two main groups in America and they’re heading in opposite directions. One side wants to follow the constitution, has all the guns and is backed by the military and police. The other has a lot of promises and feel good phrases. This will get way worse before it gets better! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. You’re saying you need a 3/4ton diesel to pull a 5000lb camper? I’m misunderstanding you right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Green pair of hiking pants with no base layer, light merino wool base layer on top if its cold enough, with a fleece plaid shirt on over that if I sit. If it’s real cold I’ll bring a wool shirt or vest. Scents a non issue and it’s never real cold so sweating never been a big concern when turkey hunting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Awesome post above with some great info! The biggest thing I can give you to be successful up there is get in the best physical shape you can be in. I always try to get to the the top of the area I want to hunt in the dark. Nothing for me to be 2miles from the truck before sunrise and that’s an uphill 2miles. If you’re spent when you get up there you aren’t going to be able to get to the top of the next mountain when you hear a bird gobbling over there at sunrise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I made it. On a shitty scale I would call it a 5. Fell asleep for a couple hours around 11, woke up to fire out. Restarted and got warmed layed back down around 330 and woke up at 5 to fire almost out. Got it going again to warm up and went for a walk. It wasn’t much fun. If i was actually lost I would probably not make much of a shelter and just sit by a fire waiting for daylight. As far as gear, a hatchet would have been awesome but not worth the weight. A more substantial saw would have been nice for cutting firewood but again not worth the weight. A couple more garbage bags would have been really nice and will go in the pack. They don’t weigh anything or take up any room. Lacrosse burlys are awesome for walking but pretty much suck for trying to sleep when it’s 12degrees. Other than that it wasn’t too bad, it will probably be a few years before I try it again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Tucked in for the night, I feel like I have enough firewood for 3 days which means I’ll probably be out getting more by 2am. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Flashlight and gps, I don’t have my gps but it was in my pack. I’m on my woodlot, half mile from my house. So far the hardest part has been not running home and grabbing some beers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Got fire and a “shelter.” Got snow melting in the bag to drink. Didn’t kill anything so will be hungry by morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Camp site Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Wasn’t pictured but baby wipes are in my pants pocket! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. With good wool socks a little damp is no problem. I’ve had wet boots many times while hunting. Pour out the boots Change socks and ring out insole. The little remaining moisture isn’t an issue. The key to this is real wool socks and not “Walmart wool”!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Been walking around checking some deer sign. I think I found my “camp site” I don’t want to start on shelter until around dark. If this were a real scenario I wouldn’t have 5 hours to make camp in daylight. No meat yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
