  9. I've decided if I ever got the chance with a bow is take it. No real desire to shoot one with a gun. I guess if I thought was huge I may (then again everything I've seen says hard to judge) I guess it will just come to seeing one without cubs. Hopefully with a bow lol. I've seen a few all with cubs it's awesome all on same property too year after year. I assume same female? Gotta be a good sized male around Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

First time out there went in another guys boat that was his first time out too. Boat handled it awesome couldn't have asked for it to be any better in the conditions. All and all for 2 rookies out on the big lake in less than ideal conditions we had a great time. 18. Come on now we resort to killing them as babies....no true sportsman outdoorsman person would purposely want to kill baby animals. That's messed (use of a better word) up. Sure I'll admit to taking a fawn or yearling or 2 a year but they are not on mom still and fend for themselves and many areas I hunt have 6 possible doe tags. But as legit babies....sicking to me Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  19. Idk why didn't quote??? Not to you box I'm sure you know thay Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  20. Really because 20 years ago sheep farmers and beef farmers were having a hard time with loosing stock and raising hell with the DEC and more than 20 years ago ...actually 35 years ago I was riding bike nightly in Avon NY watching them darting in and out of yards and across the road everywhere in the village.. are you even 30 yet Biz? Grow my dad has been trapping 50 years. There were hardly any yotes to speak of even 20 years ago. When you caught one you made front page of the trapping newsletter and everyone knew about it. I'm sure there was a few...but again it was people exaggerating the population level back then too. 1 dead calf pig goat or dog and all of a sudden we are over run with coyotes....same story different time. 21. Grow in going to say this as nice as I can....i have hunted the fingerlakes my entire life from Canandaigua Bristol Cheshire Bloomfield hemlock area hornell cohocton naples Middlesex alma Alfred wellsville Geneva Waterloo Victor areas plus more I'm sure I'm forgetting. There is not a major coyote issue in those areas never has been I've been hunting and trapping it for last 20 years (I know you have too plus some). If you have yote issues on your land it's because you have done nothing to push them off (allow trappers dog runners coyote callers ect). This falls squarely to you. They must feel safe there. Sure some areas do have issue in sure especially around city's where hunting and trapping are limited and stray cats ect make for easy meals. I know of guys in fingerlakes who catch 100 plus y0tes a year up there but trap over 100s of miles so that's less than 1 per square mile. There are steps landowners can take to help move them out and even reduce population we have done it successfully over last 4 years on my hill top with adjoining land owners. It works we are lucky to get 1 pic a month now and have a very healthy animal population. Again I'm sure some areas have it worse than others but most of the landowners complaining is because they have never taken steps to get them out and now have an abundance of them. Won't happen over night Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  22. Those hunters don't have much skill their dogs do....they just run them to exhaustion and walk up and shoot....effective yes skilled huntsman nope Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  23. I'm with you biz....yotes are the smartest animal in our woods...when you call in and shoot a yote there is a feeling of accomplishment at beating him. If you feel that way about hunting them you should try trapping. When you get them to step on a 3in square in the middle of a field beating him in every way.....its amazing. Yotes get a bad wrap bc they kill a few deer...some places do have population issues but many people who think they do i think just exaggerate. And people who think they do or don't want to should find a local trapper they can put a hurting on the population and push them off the land. I have to open more and more land yearly to catch them as they move on....and not for a lack of food either we have tons of that. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  24. It's not a lottery it's a probability factor if say 1 of ever 3 gets it there's computer software that does it. I usually apply within first week and get denied alot my dad usually applies last day and gets them sometimes my uncle applies middle of go around and he gets it some times. Lottery s a b.s. way to put it...ita a computer aided probability factor....thats why they mail left overs to people who applied and get denied. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  25. I tell you i dislike cats even hate them....but your cat deserves some props for standing up against a Fisher they are built to kill the fact that It walked away with more than it's life is crazy let alone actually chase it off. Cool pics Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
