  1. O....good to know....but I know that in Alleghany state park you can only carry if a active member of the police. and have to plug shotguns and can't shoot bears it's all in their flyer they give you when you check in to hunt....bc you have to sign in and out when hunting there
  2. O your right some how I miss read that....those rules are for Alleghany state park....but I do believe all state parks have same rules...
  3. U can download the pocket range app on a smart phone also....still sucks
  4. No rifles no pistols and have to plug to 3 shots in a shotgun....hunted opening day there last year
  5. Speaking of catching a deer a old man I used to live across the street from said when he was a kid him and his brother used the family tractor dug a big hole and put mattress springs in the hole cover it with leaves and put some corn on it. The deer would walk over it and fall thru the springs and couldn't touch the bottom so couldn't get out and presto dinner for a month....idk how real this is but seems like it would work....lol
  6. As a welder and machinist by trade this probably won't be cheap how much idk but with skill and the right machine it can be done....I'd check with the local job shops they would probably give you a estimate. ..and I'd bring the boat with you
  7. Nice pistol. ..shoots great all the ruger I have shot exceeded my expectations.
  8. I sit and stalk always from archery thru muzzle loader season. For me there's nothing like sneaking up close enough for a shot. Usually a short sit in am and short sit alright before dark up and moving in between...again as said before the slower you walk the better off you are. (I'm still working on that)
  9. Damn that guy has some height....good luck with him
  10. As others have said....if happens to drop on a footpath or in yard drag away from it a bit and leave there....
  11. Venison goulash and garlic bread with a homemade salad
  12. They are on sale now....i don't know of anyone with lifetime who has gotten them yet....more than likely is because of new system.
  13. Depends on rifle set up....but mist will probably say 0 for 100 yards. Will put you slightly high at 50 and low at 200 more than likely....but I am no means a expert shooter.
  14. No kidding red I live in hinsdale lol...thought the woods looked a lot like they do around here. Good luck this season
  15. Nice pics....what part of states that?
  16. Bottom ones a Mossberg SPX 30/30 fun to shoot wasn't my thing for deer hunting (one bad experience ruined it) others a high point.....sold both when I got my permit to invest in more useful others....
  17. I bumped them that all I knew how to do...should show up shortly
  18. One is called "first time big wods" or close to that....i think another ones called what's in your pack
  19. Depends on where and what time of year...there are some really good posts on this topic floating around but I don't know how to link them here....maybe someone else does?
  20. That's exactly what my dad and uncle do i always know exactly where they are and stay just far enough to not disrupt their sit but still help coax deer in toward them...it's paid off pretty decently[emoji1]
