  1. This obviously would be a nice tribute. Please help if you would like to by signing. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/award-medal-freedom-4-firefighters-who-were-ambushed-west-webster-new-york-christmas-eve-2012/nppN54ZN
  2. Thanks I just downloaded that,so far no ads. Good bye skimpy t-shirt girl.
  3. I see all of those ads including the People Eating Tasty Animals ones. No antis using this computer and I clean cache and run spyware etc.
  4. I stood along Ridge Rd. across from the Ford dealership yesterday. I am glad to hear it was appreciated.I drove past the houses on Lake Rd. today, I will never understand why that happened.
  5. I agree growalot.New York State has blood on it's hands again. Just like Arthur Shawcross was allowed to plead to ONE manslaughter charge after raping and killing Two children and only served 14 1/2 years in prison.New York State lets child rapists and murderers and grandmother killers out of prison after less than 20 years. When are the big mouthed politicians going to end that ???
  6. And the Webster house was a meth lab. Carrie lived in Webster and is now in Brighton. The news is not informing about the drug house. I live 5 minutes from the scene of the killings. There has not been one mention of meth by anyone. The houses are close together and neighbors have been interviewed, not one mention of meth.Spengler lived with his sister and it was an unharmonious relationship.Today it was reported in the newspaper that she was working with a realtor to buy another house and possibly sell the house they both lived in and perhaps that set him off..The bottom line is this guy was not stable to be out of prison but New York State let him out anyways.
  7. That is what I notice the most today is how closely many people drive to one another,no buffer zone and no time to react. Sometimes there is no time but slowing down can help. This video scared me a little so hopefully I will drive a little slower too.I drove a delivery truck for many years but people drive faster and a bit more carelessly now than when I drove a route for a living.
  8. I can see how that could be annoying tommyc50. My father and brother have dump trucks too but I don't think they have any cameras on board.
  9. https://www.youtube.com/embed/oFkw5JFOmHk Sent to me.SCARY driving .WARNING : May upset some although there is no blood. This is a good reminder how quickly things can happen.Be safe out there !
  10. From what I have read most of the neighbors knew he killed his grandmother,he even told some people that he was the guy that killed his grandmother and referred to himself at least once as the "friendly neighborhood murderer." I would like to think that this young woman didn't think he was dangerous but that doesn't really matter now.She showed poor judgement and lack of respect for a serious law so now it is time to be punished.
  11. http://www.13wham.com/news/local/story/Quick-Action-On-Gun-Control/4ZCgyFYAqECTrBZwp431Ag.cspx And I hope Mr. Silver calls for quick action to give the New York State Parole Board and prosecutors a swift kick in the ass for letting murderers out of prison and able to plead guilty to a lesser charge.

  13. The New York State parole board shares responsibility in this case.It isn't enough to put these murderers in time out for years and then release them into the community. If someone proves they are capable of killing a woman in her 90's(and a grandmother) then they do not deserve a "manslaughter" lesser charge and shouldn't be out among us to possibly do something "crazy" again.
  14. http://www.13wham.com/news/local/story/Police-Greece-Woman-Bought-Guns-Used-In-Webster/TExgTyGD0EuBQnuZvjI5Zw.cspx?p=2 Says she went with the cowardly murderer to Gander Mountain to buy the guns in her name.
  15. I drove by the scene of the ambush today. All I can say is those poor guys had no chance. The shooter was on an elevated side of the road that used to be railroad tracks and he wasn't very far off the road in the dark.It is amazing that the wounded were able to get out and that more people were not hurt. The Webster policeman that engaged the shooter may very well indeed have saved lives.
  16. Have a good day Wooly, enjoy the hike.
  17. A nice 8 or 10 pt. buck crossed my street in front of me last night with 3 doe, it was a beautiful sight. Peace to all.
  18. Sell newspapers by creating controversy would be my guess.Like one reader said- cancel the subscription.
  19. http://www.13wham.com/content/mediacenter/live/default.aspx It is being reported that the shooter killed his grandmother 30 years ago and ambushed the responders today.Another guy that should have stayed in prison ? Who lets these animals out ?
  20. http://www.13wham.co...gi9IsSibCw.cspx Looks like our governor doesn't want them.
  21. Merry Christmas Larry and I'm sorry for the loss to the firefighting community.
  22. Phade, I am pretty sure Larry is a City of Rochester firefighter. The responders today were West Webster volunteer I believe.
