I have and still will.I saw 2 dead doe on the shoulder of the road a few weeks ago and today there is a dead fawn hit by a car near my parent's house. That is why it doesn't bother me too much.Also after my tomato plants were eaten this year I am out for payback.(I am joking).

I would give that spot a rest if you have someplace else you can hunt.If not and you can get in without being detected you may be o.k. If the deer in the area you hunt are used to seeing people you may be alright.

I have killed 3 deer with 100 gr. Thunderheads, none ran more than 30 yds. all arrows passed through.

Like the others said,get there earlier-wind in your face walking in and try to intercept the deer as they go to bed down.Thank you for not takeing a head shot.You wouldn't want to experience an arrow through the deer's muzzle running off for that nice Lady to see.And speaking of the nice lady, she probably didn't see you wave. If she is anti-hunting and didn't bother you then that is a good thing.Good luck.

Ha, that's not something you see everyday.At least if the frog decides to make frog noises it may give the "everything is safe " impression to a deer.

I agree on most of your views Felonious ( except the drawn and quartering for Guy F. was a bit overdoing it). Unfortunately I have read that come 2013 some of our elected officials will be trying to restrict / limit ownership of more firearms and ammo.This in response to recent mass shootings OUTSIDE of N.Y. I am expecting to send emails to my reps. when that takes place.

I can only shoot 30 yds. max.because the groups open up after that. I have shot better groups at 30- it was breezy out when I shot today.That is a softball in the 30 yd. picture.(for scale).

Man apoallo, I would have been red faced mad if Walmart did that to me.The funny thing is I bought .22 ammo from Walmart last Christmas season and I don't recall being asked what the ammo was going to be fired with.I may just not remember or maybe the clerk there asked if it was for a rifle and I answered yes.Anyone trying to purchase ammo for an illegal handgun is going to learn quickly to just answer that it is for a rifle.

I know. I guess I like the old days when you could walk in to a hardware or dept. store and buy your ammo with no questions asked as long as you were old enough.But that was before Columbine,car jacking,gang violence and people blowing up federal buildings.

With all the ammo that can be fired in long gun or handgun, I wonder how the merchant knows which ammo to ask about. Even .50 cal muzzleloaders are available in a pistol.

I bought a 500 round box of .22 long rifle ammo yesterday at a large sporting goods store.. Upon checkout the clerk asked if the ammo was for a pistol or rifle. My answer was "both". Next question was "do you have your permit with you?" No I don't was my answer.So rifle was entered in to the computer. I don't recall ever being asked this question before.What relevance is there ? In the future I could just answer rifle. I don't understand why a round like .22 L.R. would need to have this information recorded.Is this a law or a store policy ?

I would have taken my nephew, the only problem is he turned 16.If you consider the low number of hunters that are youth hunt eligible, I don't think the bowhunting is going to be ruined. Only time will tell.

I think this is the 4th season.The last time there was an increase for me too.I bought the sportsman for $600 that includes the DMP and turkey tags. I would have liked a lifetime super sportsman that would have included bow/ muzzleloader but that wasn't offered.

Sigh, I guess I can toss my tickets seeing as the fast one - won ! Congrats Eddie.
