    As long as ammo is stored in a dry, room temperature setting I have never had any issues. I have fired 20 plus years old slugs people gave me and military surplus from the 1970's that was stored in a sealed can(spam can).I understand if some people don't want to chance old ammo on a trophy deer however.

    I need to get to the park and find a doe for the freezer. I have not been doing very well bowhunting so far.The only thing I have managed to bring home so far were ticks.(don't like this warm weather either).

    I hunted 8f Sat. a.m, and pm and Sun a.m. I pushed a deer(I think) on way to stand Sun. laying down behind stand in the dark. Other than 2 giant squirrels I saw nothing.Good luck fasteddie.

    Not sure if it is a regional sale.Best bet would be to call your local store.

    On sale for $2.98 then you cut the upc code from each box,fill out rebate form and send it all in so the final after rebate price is .98 cents.There is a $10 per houshold limit (5 boxes).I know because I did that last year and last month.Can't beat the price if you don't mind a little inconvenience.(don't forget the original sales receipt too).

    I hope your right sits in trees because my local newspaper quoted governer Cuomo saying in 2013 the time was right for more gun control. This was just after the idiot shot up the movie theater in Colorado and other CRIMINAL acts in OTHER states.

    Nice pictures Eddie. I sat from light until about 10:50 a.m. yesterday morning. Saw 2 herons,3 hawks, 5 black capped chicadees flying around my head and Zero deer. I still enjoyed every minute on stand.Just think in the past we wouldn't have been hunting here yet !

    I have never heard not to use a hang-on stand in the rain.Any smooth bark tree is dangerous with a climber especially when wet..I will be sitting in a hang-on this evening (hopefully) rain or shine with safety harness attached.

    Be rested before hunting from a treestand . This applies both morning and evening. If tired -hunt from the ground.

    Look at all the fun you are having and gaining invaluable experience at the same time.Now if you could just figure out how to make a living at this, and of course tell me how to also.Keep at it.This time last year we hadn't even started bowhunting yet.

    That is a cool picture. I have a few 12 ga. slugs I recovered from deer.

    After buying a battery for my rangefinder I found out I was actually 35 yds. Outside of my comfort zone..Good thing I am not hunting yet.
