Glad to hear it. You'll do good with hunting in NY. I'm sure there's some folks in your area who would steer you in the right direction. As I recall, there was a thread a while back for guys up around there looking to get into waterfowling. This site is a good resource and hunting is kinda our thing, so jump on in! Best of luck

LOL, now to remedy this whine noise coming from the passenger side of the cabin........ JK
-
yeah, might just drop the pan. There's gotta be a clogged filter. Atf+4 should have the proper viscosity. No?
-
Call me crazy, but I'm kinda partial to that. I wouldn't want to risk any corrision!
-
Okay, I grabbed 3 kinds.... This stuff is just a topical treatment, right?
-
I just got my new "smartass" phone and wondered if you can tell me what's wrong with this unresponsive Tranny!

Their ad for the "Deal of the Day" was quite discombobulating, xxxx.****,xxx***xxxxxx.******xxxxx,***** and so on and so forth*** and what have you ** n'such! LOL * I'm in the market for a new set, but it seem like the deal they're offering is for a complete set-up. So does this include having to send the bow in? Maybe I'm just reading it wrong, it is after all 3:30am. lol My local shop should be able to set me up. Let us know how it goes with Korbinsarchery. *

I too have heard of this method, but the scope would have to come off a T/C first( if he has one attached). Sbuff- Butch's bore shine is very good. CLP Break-free is another good one which cleans, lubes, and protects. Ever see those silica gel packs that resemble the shape of a powder pellet? Those might fit right down the bore during storage. They can usually be found in beef jerky packages.

Did he offer a departing pic? In other words, is he packin' "frank n' beans"? lol

Nice deer! Split brow. Keep us posted

Cool. I hunt predators in a huge old Christmas tree farm, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks
-
radio- I believe the pics shows some Pluteus cervinus(aka. Fawn or Deer mushroom). Edible, but not highly prizedhttp://botit.botany.wisc.edu/toms_fungi/june98.html You also have some Fomes fomentarius(aka. Tinder polypore).

BTH- what habitats are you finding the Boletus Edulis? Near conifers(pruce, hemlock)?
-
Whew, that's a big ole' bullet Cusehunter. It might add stability when using the hot 777 powder though. If you bumped back your bullet size to 290 or 300gr and propel that with 120gr of powder or even a magnum charge(150+gr), you may see some good results and flatter trajectory.

The trees' probably had it up to here at this point too.
-
I agree that it was probably hung there intentionally, but I forgot that trees don't grow upwards...............woops. I might be grasping here but at some point the tree has to grow upwards. lol, just raggin' on ya'. I see what you mean though, barbed wire through the middle of big ol' trees is at the same level as the day it was strung. Interesting. I've seen bench seats from a car fastened to trees a few feet up. Cool pic.

Once the predators and raptors catch on they should thin them back to normal #s. The ones that survive will be the ones that learn quick to hide! Those are easy pickins' for a red-tail.

Bobcat hunting zones updated!!!!
PREDATE replied to PREDATE's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
It's only a short season(22 days) for the new harvest expansion area, but it's a start. I also found out the same good news for bobcat trapping! -
While searching the 2013-2014 hunting season summary I was pleasantly suprised to find that the zone for hunting bobcats was approved!http://www.dec.ny.gov/docs/wildlife_pdf/huntingseasons13.pdf

August 12th will be the day that doe permits and hunting licenses go on sale.http://www.dec.ny.gov/calendar/ViewNonBannerMonth.html
-
You just pay an extra $10 when you buy your license and choose the WMU you wish to take the doe from.

Wait........ is it bow season????? LOL

Cool finds. I've never studied corals enough to be sure, but maybe some day. Your next photos generally (for myself) fall into the LBM(little brown mushroom) category, which I don't mess with. Russulas Boletes Honey mushrooms Shaggy manes and Cauliflower are a few more choice edibles that can be found. I hope to get out sometime this week on my quest for Bi-color boletes!!
