Areas that i hunt see relentless pressure right through late ML. I see as many trucks the last Tuesday as I do opening weekend. It's an event if I see a deer after thanksgiving

they're strict about waterfowl for sure, and it's easier to find the hunter. For ducks I sit there and watch the phone for the exact minute then I load up. Honestly even at legal time for waterfowl its pretty dark!

Has anyone heard that the farmers are holding out cutting their corn waiting for higher prices?

And cue the local news saying "be alert for deer everyone, hunters are taking to the woods this weekend" as though we are the reason they are running in the road

I killed one November 10th 2012 at 11am, 68 degrees. If theyre on does they couldnt care less! stick it out if you can. I wish I were in the woods

I love that field. I had a monster walk right up to my car a few years ago, waiting for the light at Transit and Pleasantview. I think he'd have gotten right in my car if I opened the door, he was that rut-stoned

Should be an interesting gun season. I think we will still be in rut, and we have two weekends of gun BEFORE Thanksgiving weekend. Also perfect weekend weather with a coating of snow possibly. A whole lot of deer are going to get killed

we used to go out Friday night, bow hunt Saturday if I still had tags, party Saturday night, maybe hunt Sunday, then take it easy and watch some football, Monday opener. Now it's all business, get down there Friday and get everything ready to rock for the morning. I find it stressful!

If at all possible, "tube" him instead of making a long cut on the front or back. That way your taxi has less work and more options. My walking mount was $1,400 but I made the base. Also, my taxi hates salted hides, he recommends just rolling it up and freezing it ASAP
