You don't need bare ground. Already seeded this past weekend. You need to make sure you take advantage of the heaving nights soon.

I think the second pic is s buck. Im looking on my phone so I could be wrong, but I think it is.

Surveying in NY is peeing into the wind...you can try to get an idea, but no point source attractants makes it difficult. Best shot really is in my opinion fall around a mast bearing tree. I know people try to make it work with some logic, but it's just trying to paint rose coloring on glasses.

Some good reviews on this cam, but one thing to look for is re-arming. It'll ID game pretty quickly within 20 feet, but if a deer is hanging out at 30 feet, there are reports of the cam not re-firing quickly after triggering an event, meaning it takes alot for the cam to re-trigger when the animal is more than 20 feet away. Might just be a weak spot in the sensing area. I usually find this happens when a cam has a weakness toward straight on detection (ie not coming from an angle or the sides). This to me makes it not a cam suited for field edge sets.

Im not trying to be smart, but i would send those pics to moultrie. That cam may have been one of the worst cams ever made and you got great pics from it. Seriously, good job.

The value is there...I don't exactly put the truth cams at the top of the pile, but a middle of the road cam can be worthwhile at the right price.

There is a $30 rebate going on for Primos Truth cams. I'm not speaking to their reliability or performance other than the Blackout HD and 46 HD models appear to be a worthwhile consideration with the rebate, with the biggest issues being washout (IR burn) from too close of a subject at times and poor audio on the video. The blackout appears to take very good nighttime images for a blackflash cam. The 46 REALLY reaches out there flash wise - it is red IR, but it is a great option for food plots if you do not mind red IR and the occasional IR burn - this cam will probably get you 60+ feet illumination at night on a plot. If you want the best deal on these two cams - Natchez Shooters Supply has them for $79-$89 plus shipping - that is before the rebate. The rebate conditions suck - one per person, but five per household. Tough part is that you need an original invoice for each person - meaning if you buy two cams, you need two separate invoices, which most online retailers can't do because of technology/system issues. So that leaves you having to order one cam each twice, with shipping on both packages. I've been told informally by Primos that you can order the multiples and just add all the names in the ship to line when you order. Copy, white out the names accordingly, and then re-copy to submit and he said it won't get screened out since most invoices look like copies now. Sounds complicated, but not really if you think about it. So I just ordered two of the Blackout HD for $90 each with $13 shipping - minus the mail in rebate - final price will come to $66.50 each for a cam that is worth much more than that, getting you great value. Note: The original truth 35/40 is included in the rebate and the ultra 35 is as well, but these are not the greatest cams and not what I would really consider unless high theft. http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&prodID=PY63049&src=exrbSrch

Getting that level carries has been nothing short of a death blow to a career in recent times. It'll be interesting to see if Murray can be the exception to the rule.
-
Next time if they get in...put the cam in the feezer overnight. No need to spray chemicals into the cam then.
-
Bingo.

You are forgetting the fact that statistically, Murray crossed one of the "no-no" territories - the number of carries. There hasn't been a RB that broke 1,000 yards the season following that kind of workload since the 1980s. Every back to do it since...went downhill. Only one of the last 6 RBs to have this number of carries even played in all 16 regular season games the following year. That is a major reason why Murray wasn't gobbled up on day 1 of FA. He's been rode hard and put away wet.

It depends on the draw of the camera. It also explains alot of the cold temp pics you get are daylight. Alot of night pics go unknown.

I just realized all I killed were "park" deer last year. They practially jump on the broadhead for me; my hunting skills are diminishing, lol. I didn't even kill one "wild" deer...at least you got a few. OP, if you can't find a no-hunting zone, then look for like-minded people. Even with a 100 acres, it becomes very small with bad neighbors.

With pensions being a dying artform of retirement (less common than it was), jumping from job to job doesn't really impact retirement unless you have long wait periods for 401(k) participation or matching/vesting schedule and you just roll it over as needed. IRAs, rentals, etc. Pension is really the only thing to buy into with sticking out with a company/job. What gets tough is when you start getting into golden handcuffs tying you to a company, whether in the form of RSUs or compensation terms. It's actually a very useful tool to retain talent, but wow, does it ever make it hard to leave.

Used very litte - in fact, bought it this past black Friday, tested it behind my house for about two weeks and planned on using it alot this season in high theft areas. I'm looking at joining another cam's pro-staff in a few weeks and clearing it out because I won't need this as a result. My wife threw out the package on accident, so I do not have the instructions to include, but they are available online. It does come with the optional battery pack that allows the cam to be powered by 8 AAs instead of 4. This cam is tiny, and easy to use. For context, those are 12" tiles. $85 CO US shipped to your door via paypal.

If hunting is the priority, I wouldn't be looking at acreage size for the primary factor. I'd find a parcel backed up against a no-hunting zone and pay a premium for it, if it is the right spot. The right 20 acre parcel is much more valuable from a hunting perspective than the wrong or mediocre 100 acres.
-
One spot we're averaging 12 harvested deer annually on one parcel with about 20 acres of timber and 20 acres of fallow field - 1 tag filled for every 3 acres or so. Certainly not a normal situation, but a legit situation nonetheless in NY. Heck, I shot all 5 of mine on that property this past season and could have shot a boatload more there. There are some good bucks there from time to time, but it is downright funny sometimes hunting it with the types of deer encounters - there have been times were we can't help but laugh at it and let deer go because we're laughing so hard. No idea if this level of population will keep up if we keep hammering them, but if there is a place that will still keep pumping out numbers, it's that spot if I ever saw one. Its one of those spots where if someday the access is gone, I will have felt a pretty big loss from a hunting experience. Its a magical place that best friends share and I've probably had more fun hunting that parcel than all other places combined in my life.

It did go through that snow pretty easily. Impressive tires to say the least.

I am seeing ALOT of deer now driving back and forth to work. Hopefully this is the end of the doomsday winter weather.

I imagine ground up and mixed with molassas you probably have a great coon bait too.

A feral cat just pissed all over my daughter's brand new stroller (a couple weeks) that cost me $200. I set it outside to get some sun/air after wiping off a slight spill. Want to stick your kid in a stroller that just got pissed all over by a feral cat? I don't, because that smell isn't going away. Nor has the fact that every week, I have to pick up my trash can because the pussy knocked it over and ripped apart the bag, an enjoyable experience. I love picking up a couple day old diapers that were already once bagged, trashed, and are now sopping wet and smell about as well as you would imagine they would. Or, the fact that two of my vehicles have scratches all over them because the darn cats jump up on my hood. I feed no birds. The professionals told me to "deal with it" in a manner I find refreshing. People have been shot for less than that (right or wrong). The fact you willingly let your cat roam, potentially to other people's private property, is irresponsible if you cannot take accountability for that cat's actions. If the cat does die in a non-cat like manner, the mirror is the first place you need to go looking. Entitlement is thinking your cat has a right to cross private property lines that you do not own.
