  1. Id look at the new agm taipan series of thermal scanners. U will definitely be able to pick up heat over 400 yards out. With my agm tm25-384 ive picked up a yote out around 1000 yards, obviously not id a yote until 300 yards.
  2. Congrats awsome truck. Contemplating my next truck in a year when my current lease is up. Maybe not a raptor but a 150 with the 3.5eco high output and some 5star tuning...
  3. Looking for one within 30-40min drive of pembroke in genesee county. Had one lined up i was emailing but now not responding...called another but he isnt measuring now because of covid. They list a bunch of names by county but looking to see if anyone knows some one that is relatively close by without me haveing to call all these people just to find out how far away they are. Thank you
  4. Went out last friday1/29 First stop nothing but bitter cold wind in our faces which proved to be a issue for my thermal scanner. It was freezing up, so back to the truck to warm up amd move to spot #2. Keeping the thermal stuffed in my coat helped here. Called in a pair possibly 3 at this spot. Snow was coming down pretty good and my budfy and his wraith couldnt get on the yotes. I was able to see clearly with no ir. Unfortunately it was a very bright night and the yotes figured something wasnt right when they couldnt find the coyote making all the racket in their field. I couldve shot at 1 at 200 yards but was hoping to get them closer and to get a good shot on both. Unfortunately that didnt happen. They never figured us out but we didnt get a shot on them either...nothing else seen at the next 2 stops. Be back out this weekend hopefully.
  5. Whats your budget? Nv in dense cover would be bad. With a good ir light you can seen yotes over 400 yards. Avoid ATN. Trying to id with a cheap thermal is a bad. Again whats your budget? Look into Bering optics Hogster line, have read many good reviews. Or jump to Pulsar, avoid ATN.
  6. Nothing... 4 stops, no one wanted to play ladt night.
  7. Heading out soon, shouldnt be a super late night. Hopefully dogs are moving in this cold.
  8. First one, 1st shot probably 80 yards, last hit maybe 110ish. Second one right around 100 yards.
  9. Fun, frustrating, draining... Hunted from 630pm-6am, called in a total of 5 yotes. 2 got to come home with me, missed 1 somehow, still bothering me. Both males, one was 39lbs the other just under 43lbs. Hoping my buddy has pics, i just got video. Ill probably get a pic of them tomorrow when i skin'm.
  10. Little last minute for the tournament but the new to me 224 valkyrie from moog is a great rifle. Last 3 shots were easy 3/3 at my 6" gong at 300 yards.
  11. Wind is #1, beyond that try and stick with female vocals, pair howls. Interogation howls, when they answer throw challenge back at them. If they get hunted alot it will be hard to get them to commit. Throw sounds at them u dont use often.
  12. For my bolt gun i run triclawps gun clamp. For a ar i run a mlok to arca attachment on the rail that slides right into the arca clamp on the ball head.
  13. So sorry for your loss. She is living on healthy again.
  14. A cretac 50d, its good, im sure thier are better but works for me.
  15. I have some primed brass laying around and some reloads you could pull apart, u can have it all cheap.
  16. Im 5'11" and the slik pro 700dx definitely has the height u need. I leave the center post down completely at 95% of my sets. It has probably 12" of extra up travel if needed.
  17. Yes that will be on from each location. We were signed up for this tournament before we knew about when the games would be played. Cant back out on the $30 entry fee now lol!
  18. In a one night tournament tomorrow night. Starting at 5pm and probably hunting till 7am sunday morning. We have alot of new spots spread out from medina down to bliss. Hoping the weather doesnt do anything crazy, wind looks a bit high for my liking but gotta take what you can get. Whenever i wake up sunday...or monday ill post up pics and stories.
  19. Ive had yotes hit a gut pile a couple hours later and other times days or weeks later.
