  1. Tears of the sun had a bunch of good ones, obviously blackhawk down, and lone survior. Hacksaw ridge was great too.
  2. They changed the law this year, you can take pics with out of season catches.
  3. All is quiet in my woods. Before i headed to a job yesterday at 9am i had 3 toms in my field. Im hoping they had hoosted nearby.
  4. Which is that the hs-lr? Im lookin for ffp and zero stop, so i believe that leaves the ps-t for me.
  5. I have experience shooting out to 625 yards and that was with a 4x ACOG.I have faith in my abilities and i know the gun can do it. I am also considering a vortex pst, but i believe they are a couple hundred more than the Burris.
  6. 6.5 grendel, currently best group is .56moa at 300 yards with factory hornady ammo.
  7. Anyone here shoot long range(over 500 yards)? Im looking at the Burris Veracity in either 3-15×50 or 4-20×50. Questions is if im shooting out to 1000 yards do i need more than 15x? This is also my deer rifle so im leaning towards the 3-15, however i have a 3.5-10 on it now so i probably just answered my own question. Go with the 4-20?...
  8. Your opinion on comfort, im way more comfortable carrying a AR than any other rifle.
  9. First up is a very nice leupold vari x 2 3-9x40. Comes in original box with all paperwork. Price is $235 shipped. Next up is a vari x 2 1-4×20. Comes with leupold detachable rings. This scope has some dings but functions perfectly. Price $145 shipped. For local pickup i will nock off $10. Im located in wny.
  10. More info please, barrel make? Length? How many rounds through it about? Pics?
  11. Love my grendel, first year in the woods last year and it took 2 deer. Its also got me interested in long range target shooting.
  12. The owner of the shed i found today.
  13. Couldnt find the turkeys this morning but found a good shed.
  14. No need for apologies moog, im happy to hear about all things AR related.
  15. Free download, it has a tutorial so u can figure out all the icons. Still a little confusing since this was only the second time using it. But take a pic of your target, tap icon to set a measurement, so i measured from 1 horizontal line to the one above it 1". Now it has that set u mark your bullet impacts and hit one of the buttons...forgot which one but it calculates all your measurements for group size, moa. Im still learning it but so far so good.
  16. I went with the grendel because i didnt want the weight of a ar10 but wanted similar punch of a .308. The grendel fits the bill perfectly. I know it doesnt have heavy bullets like s .308 but 123g killed 2 deer last year with no problems. However since i love the ar platform i will one of these days put a ar10 together.
  17. Sure am, i bet the rifle can do it. We will see if i can.
  18. I do plan on reloading. Still need to get the dies, but before deer season id like to have some loads worked up.
  19. Theres a pheasant hunting preserve, its called pheasants on the flats. They have the range there. I believe its $10/hr to shoot there.
  20. Found out theres a range in batavia that goes out to 700 yards. Ill see how well i can really shoot some time this summer.
  21. Its one of those scary rifles. Pinned mag so thats clear... its a stag lower, larue 2 stage trigger, magpul prs stock, the upper i bought from grendelhunter.com, 20" heavy s.s. saturn barrel, topped with a leupold vx3 3.5-10.
  22. Loving this rifle. 6.5 grendel, 20" barrel. First time shooting for a group with the larue 2 stage trigger in it. My son shot it for the first time too. At 300 yards he kept 5 shots on a target. The app i use is called Range Buddy. Next, the scope is being upgraded sometime this summer.
  23. For my first spring gobbler, 9" beard, 1" spurs. Dont have a scale to weigh him guesstimate 20lbs.
