My point is he was not resistant and it didn't get any easier. Carry on gents.

Do you realize I could use your exact same arguments to try to discredit your opinion?

A buddy of mine just had the rona for the 2nd time. I use the term loosely as he loved Trump and is against vaccination. He helped me get into hunting, so we don't talk politics to keep things civil. His 2nd round was not any easier than the first.

I am not a moon phase follower but agree with this statement 100%. -
welcome to the site and group.

Neither are the Republicans. I guess both parties are different then what they used to be. I completely agree with you that the division has reached new heights. The media on both sides surely is not helping the matter. People used to be more civil, that has mostly fallen by the wayside now. As have facts for the most part.

Same here, not much for acorns has the patterns changed up drastically.

So,an unvaxxed person is at a much higher risk of getting covid. That means an unvaxxed has a much better chance of being a host for the virus and giving it more of a chance to mutate. People often become contagious before showing symptons, vaxxed or not. So by not being vaxxed you increase the risk to everyone and you help keep the virus going. Can you contradict any of this?

Exactly what I thought,a lesson the young nurse has not learned yet.

@Robhuntandfishmade a lot of good points. Two years ago I shot a doe walking past a few minutes before legal time was over. I hit her back a bit and my lighted nock really enabled me to see where I hit. She just ran a little way and then stood there, looking miserable. That alone confirmed a hit too far back. I had no shot at her at that point, so I stayed put and watched her as long as I could before it got too dark. She moved some but looked like she did not want to go anywhere. I really focused on a few landmarks where she stood, like fallen logs etc. I climbed down as quietly as I could and left in the opposite direction I saw her last. A friend came back with me 4 hrs later, ideally I would have waited longer but rain was coming. We looked for blood and I could not find the first spot where she stood. Luckily the 2nd spot was by a rotten stump and that's where I found blood, really dark blood, liver hit. We advanced the sparse trail by my friend staying at last blood and me looking for more. The trail was meandering and hard to follow. Finally the blood got a little better and I found her. She was pretty stiff and expired several hours ago,but I am glad I waited. Later that season I shot a doe from the ground and she had a similar reaction to the hit,she was quartering away and didn't bolt too far but looked miserable. I didn't dare to sneak close to try to get another shot as she was just standing at about 60 yds. I did get my arrow and it had guts on it. I marked the hit site with tape and backed out. The next morning I looked for her and we had gotten a dusting of snow, so no trail to be followed. She was in this bowl of a little wetland which I thought she wouldn't leave. I searched by the water first but didn't find her,so then I started grid searching from the last point I saw her. I got lucky and found her which was tough because she basically crawled under an upturned root clump. It is important to keep a cool head after the shot and think about what the best approach is. I could have easily lost both deer but got them. Ideally they go down in sight, but that is not always the case. The first was straight up liver shot, the 2nd was guts, liver and one lung.

Wow, hats off to you. Spot and stalk on turkeys, you deserve some sort of medal. -
All around the world? There were a lot of unknowns. You think it would have been better left completely unchecked? I do agree there are to many people on this planet, but that would have been a little too drastic even for someone with german heritage.

Not wearing a seat belt is a dumb and selfish choice to me. Nobody plans on getting into an accident and the downside of wearing one eludes me. You can say only you will get hurt but whoever has to pick up your body parts from the side of the road if you do get ejected during an accident probably did not sign up for that. Freedom of choice taken to those extremes is selfish in my mind,I realize I share this planet with a bunch of people and I do have some regard for them. Where that choice becomes extreme is a somewhat fluid line that needs to be discussed. Do you wear a safety harness hunting from a tree stand? I think there should be incentive for people to take care of themselves through preventative medicine and it should be reflected on the monthly bill as well to a much bigger extent than it is now. But there is too much money made in health insurance to do that. Because where is the profit in prevention? It would help the country because Healthcare costs would be lower, but it will never be enacted with the health insurance companies in place.

It all just depends where you draw the line. I take care of myself pretty well out of my own volition. I want the best chance to age well while being able to do the things I love. plenty of people have no control over what they eat. It would benefit all of us to eat better. Were you against seat belts too? I think you can't compare nutrition with trying to defeat a pandemic that crippled the world economy. To get back to your nutrition analogy,it is like comparing apples to oranges.

I think in general does don't like to hear grunting as it means they are about to be harassed. When they are in heat it may be different. Calling for whitetails is pretty tricky I think,I generally only use it as a last resort if I am sure a buck will pass me by out of range. Some people have success with it,I am not one of them. Also,if you are in a tree your chances are lower for success as deer can pinpoint sound amazingly well, and they are not used to grunts coming from height... -
well,I see the vaccination efforts as coming from a place of wanting to do right for the people. You see it as wanting to control the people. There may be side effects down the road, who knows. wouldn't you like to have the government to blame instead of yourself for taking it?
-
No it doesn't if I already decided to do it. Didn't even enter my thoughts. I guess it is different for you, that's fine. I don't know how you can argue the point that the vaccine is for the common good.
