And my personal favorite, your reg season unfilled buck tag becomes an either sex tag for muzzleloading if you purchased that privilege.

It's crazy how they vary..I think my forkhorn bow buck was bigger bodied than this one,but the rack on this buck is sweet. I shot these maybe a mile apart as the crow flies, definitely different genetics though. Our buck to doe ratio is so skewed that even the young and scrawny bucks get to breed plenty of does. I have done my part to even the ratio the last few years, but this year i got two bucks. -

Congrats to all who scored today..I wasn't even gonna go today,i am behind at work and thought i would catch up. My neighbor texted me last night and said you gotta go on opening day. Well,i woke up early so figured i would give it a few hrs. I had to get all my muzzleloader stuff together and find the orange vest and hat. My plan was to sit by a swamp, but i decided to take the long way round on my way there to check for vehicles, see who else was around. I saw a group of doe heading from low ground to high. A little further down the road a nice buck crossed, also going from low to high ground. So i switched my plan and went to a point on a north south ridge. I got in in the dark and once it got light i saw it wasn't quite the spot i wanted. I moved slowly closer to the point and stood there for a while. I was debating dropping to a lower bench on the leeward side of the ridge but then i wouldn't be able to see the top. Right then this guy pops up onto the top, nose to the ground..I was downwind and had plenty of time to rest my gun on a tree and pick a spot. He stopped briefly and i shot. I thought I saw him mule kick through the smoke and he took off. I lost sight of him but thought he crashed. I gave it some time and then followed the trail. He was bigger than i thought,rack-wise. By far the biggest racked buck i have gotten, but i think he is only 2.5 years old. What do you guys think? 18.5" spread,i am in 4F.- 8220 replies

Damn, @Chef,that is a beauty of a buck. I hope you get him in the morning. -
I will be using my bow the first time this year during gun season. I don't want bow season to be over and it doesn't have to be. I will hunt some private land with the bow and there is a state park close by that only allows bow hunting. The muzzleloader will come out when i am hunting with friends or get too frustrated with the bow range.

Honest answer i dont know. But as an example,if you own more than one business and one fails, how can you declare bankruptcy for one and stiff the lenders or workers or whoever when your other one is successful. Bankruptcy is not the same as closing down a business having all your bills paid.It is ditching a business and letting someone else eat your debts. That is not good business to me but a d*ck move. If the other businesses are so successful than pay your debts. Bankruptcy is another form of welfare kind of. -

good businessman that went bankrupt six times? That is someone playing the system big time. You go ahead and call that good business. I call him a fraud and feel sorry for the people falling for his bs. -

Impeachment is for a specific offense, not a laundry list of charges against the man. The two dont have anything to do with each other other than pertaining to Trump. He cant be imprached for a crime he committed before being president. -
where were you in math class. Over 10 million cases almost 250000 dead that is closer to 2.5% dead. And the point of lockdowns and containing it is that the hospital system does not get completely overwhelmed with covid cases and cant do any of their regular work..Then a lot more people will die besides the 2.5%. I guess you dont know any one working in healthcare or dont like them, because they will have to bear the brunt of it because some idiots prefer to not wear a mask. How hard is it to wear one in public? It is an asshole selfish move not to.

X3. I got.one this summer and love it. The pin size is adjustable which is neat. You can't get a better sight picture in my opinion.

I have only had luck once calling, and that was after i saw the buck was going to walk past me. He didnt care for the grunt, but the snort wheeze pissed him off and he came straight at me,which was pretty cool. Blind calling has not worked for me yet,but doesnt keep me from trying once in a while.

Congrats to all who scored, beautiful bucks. @cdbing,i went for a.long walk with the bow and have nothing to show for. Conditions were great for it but rhe deer were somewhere i wasn't. Except for two does,an area that has a high stem count for browse and it was protected from the wind today. I crested a bank and stood still for 5 minutes scanning that area as best i could. I saw nothing but when I took the first step two does ran off. Thick stuff is good and bad at the same time. I found some rubs and scrapes along my travels and a heavy heavy path only 100 yds from the neighbors house. I covered quite a bit of ground and i am always disappointed when i hardly even jump a deer. I am looking forward to some snow on Tuesday,i will hit some stateland and look for tracks before the gun season opens,no state land for me then. -
Trump did away with the clean air act and the clean water act. He installed a former oil executive as the head of the EPA. There were rules in place about coal plant emissions and he ditched them. Fracking is pretty bad too in my opinion but that started under Obama. Every fracking well produces between 5 and 10 million gallons of wastewater that can not be treated in normal wastewater plants,so it is either injected in the ground right where the well is or carted to states that accept it.

Got a doe around lunchtime today. It was a quick humane kill. The only drawback was that i used my least favourite weapon,my truck. I was going 55 and never even saw the doe,she must have been running but still managed to catch the front of my truck. -

I sat for the last couple of hours today. Not much movement,i must have picked the wrong spot. I saw one tail in the distance, couldn't even tell if it was a doe or buck. It was great to hang in a tree again though,it has been 2 1/2 weeks since i last hunted. I didn't mind taking the last week of with the temps being what they were. I will spend as much time as i can in the woods now though. Prime time! -

I eagerly await any proof of voter fraud you guys can come up with. Oh wait, not needing proof is the number one requirement to be a trump supporter. And why would the democrats steal the presidential election and not the senate? -
huntfish app on my android was super easy. Beats trying on the phone getting bumped every time i tried. It took less than 2 mins with the app.

Haha, conspiracies and cheating everywhere you look. You guys will have a tough four years ahead. Does anyone have any evidence? Oh,hearsay or what the don says is enough for most of you fellas. Must be nice going through life like that. -

I do,or as close as we can get to one with all the republican voter registration suppression efforts.
