It's not a violation of the first amendment because he was not arrested or jailed to silence him. It is, however, a very effective, legal way to silence him. Whether or not it is politically motivated is anyone's guess, but the companies will say that he was banned due to poor feedback or unhappy advertisers. YouTube, Google, and FB, do have a strong hold on the dissemination of digital information, but that is no different than a few people owning multiple TV and print outlets. Just shut the mower deck off before you stand up. The engine should continue to run even if you're not sitting on it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

First light, if you are using a non contact voltage tester (the type that lights up or has an audible signal to indicate presence of voltage) then, yes, they will detect a small amount of induced voltage on the switch leg due to its proximity to the feed which is always "hot". Also, those types of testers are not the most reliable. They are called "widow makers" for a reason. Trash that thing and invest in either a solenoid type tester, or an inexpensive multimeter. If you're going to depend on a whole house automatic generator, then the once a week 12 minute exercise cycle isn't enough. It needs to be tested under a full load, minimum of once a month for 30 min or so. So every few weeks, shut off your main breaker, and make sure everything happens as it's supposed to: generator starts, transfer switch operates, generator takes the load without bogging down, transfer switch operates when it senses return of utility power (after you turn the main back on), generator runs it's cool down cycle and shuts off. The battle, over gun rights
CoffeeBoy replied to Nomad's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
This particular event never would have happened had the authorities done their job in the first place. They had received warnings for 2 years and neglected to follow up. However, all we hear about is more gun laws. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk -

Awesome dogs. Just put mine down after 11 years. He was always great with the kids. Never made a peep unless someone was on the front porch or in the driveway. Take her swimming any chance you get. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

Put a GFCI in the first box. Wire power from the panel to the line side, wire the feed for the second receptacle to the load side, put a regular 15amp receptacle in the second box. That's the simplest way (also least expensive: $1 receptacle vs $12 gfci). It will pass code, no problem. A semi unrelated tip, if your outside or garage receptacles ever lose power, check the GFCI in the garage or the first floor 1/2 bath.....thats usually the issue Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

If anyone here traps in the Albany/Saratoga area and wouldn't mind showing a newbie the ropes, please PM me. I took the safety course, just haven't purchased the license yet. I was just hoping to tag along with someone while they checked their line and help out to the best of my ability in an effort to learn a bit. Thanks. Merry Christmas. You could just connect a regular single pole switch and manually turn the post on and off until you can get someone out there. Any idea if the lamp post has a photocell which would shut the light off when the sun comes up. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

I love just being out there also. I just wasn't sure if I should expect much action with the snow. It will definitely be tough to hear them rustling around. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

Might do a little squirrel hunting tomorrow, but it's supposed to snow almost 3 inches. Is it worth going in the snow? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

I actually have the pass for DEC property, just haven't had an opportunity to use it. A quick search found Turkey Mountain approx 30 min ride from where I'll be...maybe I'll check it out. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

Any good public spots near peekskill? I may be able to squeeze a hunt and family visit into new years weekend. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

Only reason would be to see of the lamp post is what's causing the breaker to trip. As long as they are capped and tucked neatly into the box, you can turn the breaker back on and have use of your tv's and whatever else is on that circuit until an electrician gets there....bonus if the breaker trips again while the wires are separated and capped, you'll know it wasn't the lamppost that tripped it Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

The $100 is just the "diagnostic fee" Lol....if I was closer I'd check it out for ya for free. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

Hopefully that does the trick and saves you from paying an electrician $100 just to pull into the driveway on a Saturday. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

C is the common, should be connected to the white wires in the box. 1 is the supply (the red or black should be wire nutted to a group that feeds all or some of the switches in that box) 2 is the switch leg (probably leaves that box on its own separate cable) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
-
Yes, all the switch does is interrupt the circuit. Put them under one wire nut, make sure it's tight and turn the breaker on. The lamp post should be lit. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

The brown paper is just a covering on the individual conductors in the cable. Nothing to worry about. If there was an "explosion " in that box, it would be black and singed. Moisture in lamp post is most likely cause. Wire nut the wires together, turn the breaker on, if it holds and the lamp post is lit, try re-installing the switch. Could also just be an old breaker. They don't last forever. I've been an electrician for most of my adult life. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
