Really you all worry about taking a crap in the woods !? deer dont care about urine or poop. I pee'ed at the base of my stand saturday and got the biggest buck of my life which walked 3 yards from my stand !

After talking with some ya-hoo land neighbor he helped me load it, then told me there is a bigger 10 point that makes him look tiny. I pulled my trail cam and he is 100% right !

Well im sorry to inform you this will be a short story. I get into the stand at 2:00pm 11-16-13 and it is dead besides a few squirrels. I've never been to a spot with absolutely no activity. But i stayed because i knew there was atleast 4 different bucks in the area. 4:42 rolls around and im thinking Shit not one single deer and in 1 minute its past legal sunset. I look back and here this buck comes rolling through, litterally right under my stand and kept slowly walking until i had a shot at about 15 yards. I seen that bullet hit, he puffed up about 4 times his size and slow walked off 30 yards then crashed. I'm extremely happy with this buck, i thanked my father (who passed 7 years ago). Just because some one's gone dosent mean they are not right there next to us !

I'd give up almost anything to be able to hunt 2 days out of the week ! it seems like its either saturday or sunday that we have 20mph winds or just heavy down pours ! I really wanted to get a buck with my bow this year but this weather sucks

If you move them pick one to hunt in, and make sure to blend it in with the area, use sticks and grass etc... If you're not seeing anything then move. You are not in the right spot they could be travling just out of sight but you wont know until you move.

This morning i saw what i believe to be the biggest buck from my stand to this day. Looked like a 8 frame with a nice kicker off the side of his right horn. He came trotting through at 7:10am at about 75 yards. I had drug a scent trail on my walk in and when i got to a scrape i refreshed it right in the scrape. Well this buck went right to the scrape and sniffed. Didnt give it a care in the world and kept walking. I went for my grunt tube and i forgot it in the truck. Only other thing i had was a can call. Gave that 3 turns and he never once looked over just kept going. Pretty bummed i couldnt get him to come closer. Then at 8am i had a 6pt basket rack come in right downwind about 30 yards. He wouldnt come any closer. Then at 9am i saw the 6pt following a 4pt for every move he made.I went back this afternoon and only saw 3 does. Tried to rattle and grunt but no luck. maybe the winds we messing with them to much. My minds telling me to go back in the morning because i know there is a nice buck there but i also have another spot that i know there is nice bucks around.

I have a pair but ive never used them, havent bought any bare shafted arrows yet haha. IMO ill just stick with vanes.

Its very odd, i usually do wait until november to harvest does but my freezer was empty and i had a DMP to fill haha. I guess it isnt all that odd since they will be kicking the fawns away in a week or so! And thank you all, god makes some amazing meat !

I couldnt believe she was still lactating ! isnt it a little late for fawns to be nursing still ? I wouldnt have posted this shawnhu if i had not actually killed a deer. Let alone if i lied why would i say i killed a doe ? I highly doubt anyone here posts they killed something and really didnt.

Got a nice doe at 7:16 am. Snuck in and spooked a deer right next to my stand. Got in my tree and all set up. Waited 15 minutes and figured heck I'll hit my grunt tube and try to get a buck to come in before sunrise. A few minutes went by then I heard some crunching of leaves look back one big doe and another yearling. Missed my first shot. I certainly knew I rushed it and didn't get my position right. Calmed down well the doe was spooked a little sniffing and trying to find me. Same area I missed the first shot I shoot and hear shwack. $hit I missed again. I thought I shot low. Small 3 pt buck comes in. With what I thought was two misses I wasn't going to even worry about the buck as to small for me. I wait a half hour and get down. Walk to where I see my first arrow nothing but dirt. Second arrow is pure bright red and blood everywhere, now I have some meat and my itchy finger are taken care of. Now to wait for a good buck ! Have they started falling in your area yet ? I cant tell if mine have all dropped or if they are still holding on. I want to hunt them with my climber but i look everywhere and do not see any fresh acorns or fresh caps. I know each region varys but im just hoping for an idea
