  1. That is when people were REAL, and not worrying about impressing the neighbors. Real people, not todays phonies. I must admit, my wall hanger needs a buddy. Funny how times change.
  2. Good stuff. I love these old photos, they really make you think. It seems to make you look around, and wonder what it was like X amount of years ago, and wherever you are....
  3. Very cool post. Loving the camo too.
  4. I have always wanted to try lobster mac n cheese, but I would have to have it from a restaurant. I would not be able to put fresh lobster in mac n cheese myself, I would have such a hard time lol.
  5. Thanks TF! It was good, like I said something different. Honestly, not quite as flavorful as I was expecting, but a good meal none the less. I never really used siracha, so it never crossed my mind.
  6. So i took beef broth, added smoked sausage, shrimp, broccoli, potatoes, brown rice, and added a clove of garlic left whole, and simmered it all like a soup. Something different.
  7. Lol. All i can say is that I can barely move. It was gooood. Were you a bad boy and sent to sleep with no dinner? Lol Edit...its not even 6 yet, I NEVER eat dinner this early, i am all out of whack over this, haha.
  8. So after all that you must be hungry all over again?
  9. So yesterday after work, I installed new pads, and rotors on my girlfriend's vehicle. This was awaiting for me when I got home from working today!
  10. Congratulations Jdubs! I very much appreciate when people are motivated, and self driven, and do not give in because what their goal is, is not a simple task, that is not quickly achieved. I also enjoyed your pics, and what you have shared, especially how you start at night, for thr incredible sunrise photos. Ever been to Mount Katahdin?
  11. I created this thread, lets just convert it over to maine pics lol.
  12. Well start posting, and catch up....
  13. Good stuff, love hearing info from folks who know that area! I have accessed the NMW through Telos gate a few times, also 20 mile, and Caribou checkpoints. I am getting excited, we head back up on the 27th. Don't hesitate to post more pics lol
  14. I hear you on that, I am so used to folks visiting wells, ogonquit(not sure of spelling), and places barely into Maine, that I always say way up. I have only been as hogh up as the northern tip of Baxter to Matagamin(again spelling lol). Drove through Patten but thats as far north for me. I too absolutely love it up there, I will retire up there for sure. I love the logging roads above moosehead, I did get up to a point where I saw an Allagash sign, but if I remember correctly you could not drive near it, might have misunderstood that though, been quite a few years since that spot. I would love to do an allagash trip down the river though, my girlfriend does not like the idea of tenting in the middle of no where though. Someday :-)
  15. Another lean meal tonight. Hot sausage patty, with peppers, onions, and sliced garlic. Swiss, salt, pepper, cayenne. Squeezed by a crisped ciabatta roll.
  16. Thanks for all who shared their preferences, hopefully it wasn't too personal, and on the verge of becoming touchy of a topic.
  17. This is our place to disconnect from society, solar powered, outhouse, and raingutter collected water for dishes, and 5 gallon bucket showers. We absolutely love it, this pic is the addition my dad, and I have been working on. Very nice camps you guys, i like them all.
  18. Late dinner, chicken, hot sausage, peppers, and onions, with swiss to glue it all together. Salt pepper, garlic, cayenne, and dry rub
