This is how NY needs to handle poachers!
Taz1300 replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in General Hunting
All they gotta do here in New York is read some of the threads on this site. -
You forgot to mention these guys are all republicans!!! LMAO!!! But from reading the thread the world is not going to end tomorrow. The nutjob said tomorrow the rapture will occur. So Jesus is gonna come back and pick up all his faithful subjects, and the end will occur sometime in the fall probably before deer season. So if the religious faithful do disappear tomorrow we are screwed. Me I live next to a Catholic Cemetery so I'm gonna go see if they rise up for their trip to heaven.

Aren't we all Americans?
Taz1300 replied to Caveman's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I went to see them last week, I don't know if you heard, those guys are dead a long time now. Didn't President Washington warn us about political parties? I'm pretty sure if alive today he would shoot everyone. -

You kinda just proved my point. The patriot act sponsored by Dems, Repubs pissed and moaned did not get passed. A few years later Repubs sponsor same bill, Dems piss and moan but this time it is passed. Same thing with healthcare. Every law passed whether federal, state, or local are pretty much won or lost along party lines. It seems to me politicians (both parties) could care less about the people they are supposed to represent and more about the corporations (oh my bad the supreme court says they are people) that give them campaign contributions. Happens all the time here in New York. I can think of a State Senator that more than once voted no to a bill because a Dem sponsored it and then a year or two later he himself sponsored exact same bill. But us idiots keep electing him. -
Common Sense Law or Zero Intelligence?

I think it is refering to teflon coated. You know the ones that can pass through body armor. -

So how come when Bob Dole sponsored a national healthcare bill the republicans were all for it? Now that a Democrat ( Black one at that) actually got the same damn bill as Bob Dole sponsored passed, albeit 15 years later, Republicans are shouting unconstitutional. WTF? I guess politics is funny like that. A Democrat sposors a bill, the Republicans hate it. A Republican sponsors same type of bill later and the Democrats hate it. No wonder the Government is broken. -
$4 per gallon gasoline
Taz1300 replied to Mr VJP's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Hence the reason why we will all pay the 5 bucks a gallon and bitch about it. Corporations have us little guys by the balls!! -
$4 per gallon gasoline
Taz1300 replied to Mr VJP's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
By no means am I an economist but I just don't understand how oil companies can report millions if not billions in profit and keep raising the price of gas. Maybe if some of these greedy ceo's take a small pay cut we could have reasonable prices and they can still make a profit. I guess thats just wishful thinking. -
That is a cool looking buck. I saw one once (a doe) in Willett Ny a few years back. Was a cool sight. I let her walk, no doe tag.

DOING A CONTROVERSAL ESSAY FOR ENGLISH CLASS
Taz1300 replied to Robinson446's topic in General Chit Chat
VJP- Heres the stuff you left out In 1978, Nugent began a relationship with seventeen-year-old Hawaii native Pele Massa. Due to the age difference between him and Massa, Nugent could not marry her, so he joined Massa's parents in signing documents to make himself her legal guardian, an arrangement that Spin magazine ranked in October 2000 as #63 on their list of the "100 Sleaziest Moments in Rock".[20][21] In 2005 Nugent was involved in a legal battle for not paying enough child support for a child he had out of wedlock in 1995.[22] It was finally resolved when Nugent was ordered to pay $3,500 a month to the mother of the 10-year-old son named Christian Taylor whom Nugent has allegedly never met.[23] As a reward for entertaining US troops in Iraq in 2004, he visited Saddam Hussein's war room. "It was a glorious moment. It looked like something out of Star Wars. I saw his gold toilet. I sh*t in his bidet."[42(who does that?) He may like guns and hunting but IMHO he is not great. -
DOING A CONTROVERSAL ESSAY FOR ENGLISH CLASS

One thing that comes to mind about Uncle Ted was when he got busted in California hunting over bait. He was blasted on this forum for it for weeks. -
There is no hog season either and we are basically told to shoot 'em if we see 'em. So whats the difference?

Deffinately a New York Truck. Stupid Choppers is a local bike builder. And the McMahon Farm is right there on Route 281 and Cold Brook rd. in Homer, just a hop, skip, and a jump from W. Scott rd.

I also do not care for Ted, but he should know better. After all he was a Deputy Sherriff in Montana at one time I think. And as a LEO he should know enough to look into the laws of the state in which he is hunting.

No Guns Allowed
Taz1300 replied to vipertech's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I worked for a company a few years back that had a "no firearm" policy, and that was exactly what it was. A Co-worker one night had brought in a .22 marlin he was going to sell to another Co-worker and at break they went to the guys car to do the transaction. One of the supervisors happened to be walking the grounds and spotted the guys with the rifle and immediately called the police. The police showed up and escorted the guys off the property and returned the firearm to them as no law had been broken, they just ended up losing their jobs. -
Anyone know what actually happened with EmpireHunting .com forum ?
Taz1300 replied to TheHunter's topic in General Chit Chat
I know I even asked on Empires Facebook page what happened to to it back in April and nobody ever got back to me. -
I say Nay. Only because they are the same colors used in the late 70's early 80's. If they were gonna change the plate colors at least do something new.

Slug Guns - What do you shoot? What works best?
Taz1300 replied to ELMER J. FUDD's topic in Rifle and Gun Hunting
I have a Wichester model 120 .20 gauge. I also have a Mossberg 500 12 gauge. Funny thing is I tend to carry the 20 more because everytime i carry the 12 I don't see a thing. All the deer I have taken I have taken with the 20. -
There isn't any such law, however I can see them using the "it's blocking your plate" excuse if you happen to have a ball directly on your bumper. It is kinda like the ticket I got for the blue light I had on my dashboard because it was"obstructing my view".
-
Well WNY seems as you had the most entertaining posts on Empire and this was kinda started as a joke, sure why not. I personally didn't post much on the old forum, but i sure loved reading the banter from all those who think that lions are here and those who don't. Like I said in an earlier post I'm a skeptic as well and won't believe til I see a body.
-
Thanks Larry. That is one of funny parts of the old empire forums.

Do you wear Orange? If so why? If not Why not? :)
Taz1300 replied to TheHunter's topic in General Hunting
I too wear Orange head to toe.. well actually ankle cuz the boots are brown, but anyway I wanna be seen and not mistaken for anything other than a pumpkin. However no amount of Orange is gonna keep you safe if those sound shooters are in the area. -
What was your most exciteing moment deer hunting ?
Taz1300 replied to TheHunter's topic in Deer Hunting
The most exciting moment for me was my first buck. It's actually kinda funny considering I was walking through an open field going back to my Uncles house when a doe came up over the knoll with the buck right behind her. They weren't more than 20 yds away from me and not paying attention to the giant pumpkin standing in the middle of the clover field. So needless to say I got very nervous and just stood there. I did finally after what seemed like forever but was probably like 3 minutes shoot the buck. I tried for the doe but I never even got a shot off because she was gone in a flash. Would have been kinda cool to fill 2 tags for a first timer.
