Been shooting my 338 and the wife's been shooting her 25-06 getting ready for Africa... shooting skeet in a sand bank at 210 yards.... I think we are both ready!!! Bring on Africa!!! I've also been shooting my wife's rifle so I can shoot some of the smaller game in Africa with that over the 338 WM... Both rifles are T/C Pro Hunters... Both shooting Federal Fusion ammo... Confidence is high... now just need to get there!~!!

I bleed every time.. but I've been working my rows more and more every year... getting them organized so they are easier to control.... helps a lot but I have a ways to go... Getting there though.. thinking 2 more years and it will ROCK... but it's still pretty good now...

I've got 30 jars of red raspberry jam done, 20 black raspberry jam done.. all seedless mind you.. LOL... Just waiting for the black berries to ripen...

Nice!!! How big???? Looks like a bull..... heavy bases... I wanted a bull myself... Cows are longer horned but I love the thick bases...

I've got a Nikon with the BDC... Aim dead on at a 100 and the rings underneath are set ranges matching bullet and scope magnification... I try to set them up so each erring is roughly 100 yard increments... With the 30-06 set up back in 2012, I took this Gemsbok at 309 yards... I really like the scope set up....

LOL.... Yeah... but I'm there to shoot.. LOL... I like plinking at 200... I find pieces of them out in the far sand bank and plug away... great confidence builders blowing them up that far out.. LOL

Took the T/C Pro Hunter out to test the 338 barrel again before Africa... First round is the one on the right.. second round the one on the left... Went from that to 200 yards shooting pieces of skeet for rounds 3 and 4... Wife watching says "I think you are ready".. LOL

Hey... If you all remember I had several death threats called into my house a few weeks back from a FB anti hunting group... I got only a taste of what this poor girl is going through... My thinking is.... don't hide what we do.. get it out in the open, be proud of it and let the loons be shown for what they are... Support this girl and others like her to the fullest and show what we do is good for conservation and the anti's do absolutely nothing but bitch..

Hey... it's not my caliber of choice.. the question was Can you hunt with that caliber.. yes.. shot placement is even more important but it will kill a deer with no problem... Just have to be ready for meat loss in using it.. My favorite deer rifle cal is 25-06...

Put through the ribcage and it will minimize meat loss. Stay away from shoulders and it won't make much of a mess

No such thing as "to dead"... If you want to hunt with it shoot it... It will definitely kill a deer...

True... But I'm thinking getting more practice on the trigger will help accuracy... I'll let you know.. LOL

Snapcaps to practice with just the trigger???? I never have but ordered a set for a few rifles to get more trigger practice without the cost of ammo and I can do it in my living room... Anyone else try them??? Did it help???

The meat and insides (guts) get donated and sold to locals... they really use 90% of the animals....

I'm not afraid of them.. my only concern was, they were attacking me through my mother because I don't have a land line and they could only find her... She is 78 and has MS, wheel chair bound and only partial use of 1 hand.. If these idiots came to her house and did anything would be the only thing I would be afraid of.. And only God would be able to stop me from getting to them.. As it is now, I'll let the LE take care of it...

I'll apologize to the mods for stirring up all this trouble... I believe it is also linked to the death threats that I posted about earlier... I'm thinking it is the same bunch of loons that called wanting to kill me...
