For my area... I was getting hundreds of pics on my trail camera prior to the season and the acorns dropping... Then when the acorns started dropping my pics tanked.. Add in guys hunting areas with the wind being wrong and the deer sightings are dismal... But the deer #'s in my area are still the same as every other year in the past 5.. Just between pressure, weather and "natural" food sightings are way down... Except at night driving, they are EVERYWHERE after dark...

100 yards, T/C Pro Hunter, 30-06, Federal Fusion 180 gr. First round out of the gun, guess I'm still on from all the shooting I did for Africa and Newfoundland!!! Confidence is high to say the least..

Past 2 sets I've gone to hunt are messed up. 1 ladder stand I checked in August had the strap snap on it. I go in today with a new one, replace it and head for a ground blind to find that one blown over and collapsed. Now that blind I checked a week ago and it was fine. Just bad luck I guess. Glad I'm not hunting the sets when things go wrong is the best way to look at it. But definitely not what I want be be doing. Just want to go hunting!!! Anyone else snake bit this season? I'll stick with my Pro Hunter... Not thrilled with the way T/C has been run since moving it down here where I live.. but still, for that money and the way my T/C shoots... I would be a fool to swap it... But for someone looknig to jump into black powder.. might be a good choice...

I've started using a weighing it to get more precise loads... but volume measuring is fine.. I love the stuff by the way...

Yes... did shots of screech!!! I did have it processed in town... They are the ones that told me that this was the biggest bodeied moose they've seen all year... And they've done over 150 moose this year...

How did you guys do??? When were you there???

Definitely was up there on my bucket list for sure!!! I never thought I would cross it off with a bull like this though!!!

What a hunt!!!!! Saw 3 cows the first day.... none the second... Got this bull Wed. night... Called him in.. came in grunting and thrashing a tree... Stood for almost 15 minutes (and we got it on video) in one spot, all I could see was his head... Then he moved and I put a 225 grain 338 WM through both lungs... He took it and ran, missed shot #2, then he slowed to a walk and when he stopped at 120 - 130 yards, I put round #3 into him and he tipped over.. 6 1/2 year old bull, 40" wide, estimated live weight at 850 lbs, got over 370 lbs of meat (no bone) from him.... I am just THRILLED with him.. doing a Euro mount on him this week... I'll post pics... Having the hide tanned as well...

not saying every waking minute.. but you read some ofthese posts and it's like they are divorced but still living together... Just saying... I hunt with my buddies as well... But my wife loves it... We don't hunt side by side.. she's in her stands as I am in mine...

Wow... some of you guys have it rough.... I'm lucky, my wife loves to hunt... fish.. scout... it is our vacation now that the kids are adults... went to Africa last year... going to Newfoundland in a week.. Africa again next year... She loves it... If you don't like spending time with your wife guys, why are you married??????? My wife is more dedicated than most of my guy hunting buddies...
