  1. That is very true but my neighbor and his grandson wear this stuff and I can’t help but make Elmer Fudd jokes to my hunting buddy after they leave Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Very cool grampy so awesome that you help educate new hunters. I remember I took my class down by the Bronx border. It was pretty interesting lots of hoodlums in my class made worried to hunt public land anywhere near NYC. My bow class on the other hand was taught by the guys that owned cougar sports in Ardsley. Great class taught by two great bow hunters. I was so sad when they closed up the shop. Was a great place for all of us living near NYC. It’s awesome to see a member here imparting good values and hunting ethics on the next generation of NY hunters Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Felt like something hardy since it feels like fall out there. Made a chuck pot roast Lol and I could have sworn I took a pic went to go find it and it’s not there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. True we are getting to that point, half of my bucks are in velvet half have rubbed it off. Crazy year for me for trail cam pics. No real big bucks but the most bucks I have ever seen. Lots of small yearling bucks. I hunt a antler restricted zone and I’m hoping that the time year and the year after will be very good. I’m thinking I may see some serious rutting activity as I have more buck than doe pics Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Was surprised to see this already Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have been thinking about this all day and I guess this is a good place for me to let it out. I find it very difficult to talk about this day with people not from New York. I know this day effected the entire country but sometimes I feel non New Yorkers just don’t get it. I have a boss who moved here two years ago. We were given funds to do a team building exercise and he suggested going to the top of the freedom tower and visiting the memorial. He was shocked when I said and I quote” no offense but to me it is not a tourist attraction and I will not visit there in a group setting with a bunch of non New Yorkers” I know that may have been cold and insensitive but I feel that us as a New York community lost so much that day and outsiders just don’t understand. Friends, loved ones, pieces of ourselves. Many of us saw the smoke first hand, and will live with that for the rest of our lives. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I will never forget I was in math class. I had gone to the bathroom and saw my Italian teacher crying in the hallway she told me what had happened and I went back to class. I stopped the teacher to announce what had happened. She told me to stop messing around and sit down. I got pretty pissed but finally sat down. About 5 min later another teacher came in and told her and she told the class. I left and went to the library to watch it on tv saw both towers fall. Growing up in lower Westchester a lot of kids I went to school with had at least one parent working in lower Manhattan. Lots of tears that day. I left school and went down to the dobbs ferry train station. I will never forget the smoke so much smoke over the river. Route 9A passed right through my town I remember their fire trucks for 2 days no one was on 9A just the fire trucks heading south one after the next for two days straight. I will never forget Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That’s what I thought you have to trap them and I don’t trap Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. So last night I was at camp and saw a young beaver in the pool in the creek behind my house. I also noticed what looks like he may be turning a logjam into a lodge. I know I can’t just shoot him but I really don’t want him to flood my backyard. How would you handle this. Is this a real concern? He let me get pretty close for a while before he slapped the water with his tail and went under. Cool to watch but really don’t want to deal with the mess Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. That’s not a bad idea. One of my two Garands has a national match rear sight so that one is out of the question Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
