No if you shoot through the front shoulder you will most likely still hit heart lungs and all sorts of veins... The deer will die just as quickly as with a double lung bow shot, it just won't run away. Also If it did drop in its tracks I could always take a well placed follow up shot to finish it off.... I really started this thread just to see what people think. I'm sure there are better alternatives out there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got bored at work today and went and shot at the range for a bit! I'm doing great out to 40! Only have 3 pins on this site so I won't be shooting past 40 this year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's why I thought through both shoulders of both front shoulders are broken it's not going any where. And it would be so cool to take a deer with that old war horse Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

First off I am very interested I have to talk to my wife but I'm pretty sure she would be more than ok with it..... I have to ask did she come from Jane in upper westchester? Because if she did that's where I got my boy from too! His name is hunter he is almost 1 and a half and would love a playmate! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I was walking my land the other day looking for a good spot to try a first food plot, and realized that I had a over grown field of sorts that is maybe 20 yards wide by 80 yards long, the only problem Is that it is basically my creek bank, bordered by the creek on one side and woods on the other. Is it worth planting here, what would grow well next to the water... I'm sure this area floods in the spring or after a few days of heavy rain Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Where did you buy, I bet it's close to me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Now I know this is not ideal but it is legal so I'm going to bring it up. As I have mentioned before I bought a m1 Garand this year, and think it would be a blast to take it out and shoot a deer. Here is my one concern. I can't find soft pointed ammo for it. Everything I read says don't put modern ammo through the gun it will break the op rod. Of course they don't make mil spec soft pointed ammo. Being that I don't reload I was thinking about using a fmj and putting it through the front shoulder. Being that this gun is a 30-06 it should have more then enough knockdown power even with the fmj. What are everyone's thoughts..... I would also like to use my m1 carbine, that I do have soft points for Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Eddie is so old that when he was in the service they issued long bows! And he still in the woods every year! That's one tough old sailor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just went through this and scratched the idea. I'm shooting great with out them and way off with them and it won't fix... Going to the 125 head would probably do the trick but my bow is so dead on I don't want to mess with it.... I was shooting them 4 inches left and 4 inches low Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

For me it's all going to depend on where I'm hunting! If it's the old place it will most likely be dark to dark. As I have permission to use the land but not the house. If it's the new place it will be dark till 11 and then 2 till dark Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
