  1. Mayor Bill de Blasio's "contact tracing team" isn't allowed to ask patients if they attended a protest (The Daily Caller) "Those who have most consistently undermined the police and other elements of law enforcement are among those most shocked by the escalation of crime and violence." —Thomas Sowell "It seems to me that the greatest privilege on offer in our culture today is the privilege to be utterly immune from the law. This is the privilege exercised by many of the 'protesters.' And though some of them are white males, many are not. It is, then, a privilege that is not dispensed based on race, but on ideology. We might call it Leftist Privilege." —Matt Walsh
  2. Lock downs far worse for health and lives than Coronavirus https://thefederalist.com/2020/06/16/research-finds-lockdowns-are-far-worse-for-health-and-lives-than-coronavirus/ The official Centers for Disease Control guidelines explicitly forbade “preventive care visit/screenings” and annual check-ups. Even if you have symptoms of illness, your care is pushed into the second tier, and then only if you are an established patient. Heaven forbid that you are trying to see a doctor for the first time. The negative effects of delays in securing preventative care are well established.
  3. Reliable data from various studies demonstrates that the vast majority of the most serious COVID-19 cases in the United States were among the elderly and those with preexisting conditions. A review by Stanford medical professor John Ioannidis found that around 80% of Americans who died of COVID-19 were older than 65. Additional data from the Foundation for Research on Equal Opportunity found that Americans over 85 are 2.75 times more likely to die from COVID-19 than those 75 to 84 and 16.8 times more like than those 55 to 64. As treatments have improved, the mortality rate in general has dropped, with those under 45 making up less than 2% of total deaths. This is information we have suspected all along, but now we have more extensive data. And the facts prompt the big question: Was the lockdown necessary? Might it have been more effective to focus on protecting our at-risk population while letting the rest of the nation go about its business? It's hard not to suspect that the lockdown was a put-on manipulated by power-mad politicians and the media. Democrat governors like Michigan's Gretchen Whitmer and New York's Andrew Cuomo threatened their citizens and issued unconstitutional mandates. Democrats called for an indefinite lockdown, presumably through the presidential election, in hopes of using the crisis to their political advantage. They only looked the other way on lockdown restrictions when the Black Lives Matter rioting started, hoping the chaos would give them a political advantage. (In fact, New York contact tracers won't ask people if they attended protests.) But now that President Donald Trump has decided the danger has abated enough to start holding his record-breaking rallies again, Democrats want to reinstitute lockdowns for fear Trump might gain a political advantage. Sensing an ulterior motive here? Lewis Morris
  4. I believe it's real. But I also believe 99% of Americans will not DIE from it. So destroying the economy and putting the country into a depression because of it is galactically stupid. Advise the vulnerable to stay at home, tell people they have the freedom to choose and allow the rest of us freedom to live, work and even protest. But if the govt is OK with mass protests, it has given up any authority to tell everyone else they can't do what they want to do. That's blatant discrimination.
  5. Remember, offense cannot be given, only taken. It's not that I wouldn't hunt with you guys, it's just that I'd rather hunt with her if given the choice. Maybe because I'm not married and that leaves me some options you married guys don't have.
  6. Chef, I wrote it. As far as the lock down goes, another mass protest in NY on Sunday was applauded by the left and hardly even asked about the virus. On the same day Cuomo directed anger at places that he said are not following the lock down restrictions and made threats. Then he said if the positive virus counts spike, he will extend the lock down. Could it be he allows mass protests so he can get spikes and extend the lock down? Basically, he has no case to keep the lock down in effect anymore. https://www.westernjournal.com/thousands-gather-nyc-black-trans-lives-matter-protest-day-cuomo-threatens-businesses/?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=CTBreaking&utm_campaign=breaking&utm_content=conservative-tribune
  7. Well, there is a lot more gunpowder in the case so you have to expect more boom. But it's amazing how much less recoil it produces compared to other rounds in the same class of energy.
  8. BLM advocates Socialism and is not opposed to resorting to fascist tactics to achieve it. The Democrats haven't followed the Constitution, Bill of Rights or current legislation on a multitude of issues for decades. Heck, they grant sanctuary to ILLEGAL aliens as a prime example. If he was talking about the Rule of Law, The Democrats are still the problem.
  9. He didn't get a reply from me because it would be futile to try to discuss facts with someone basking in their ignorance because it gives them a sense of moral superiority. Besides the subject wasn't changed. It's back to where it began in the OP. A protest was allowed during a pandemic with a forced lock down. Nothing else like it would be allowed, but nobody seems to think that is weird. I just wish all of these aging hippies would grow up already and realize their protests don't amount to anything other than divided communities.
  10. Well, in about 4 more days we may find out if we see a spike in positive virus cases in the county. Then we will find out if the idiots were the protesters or everyone who believed the government about the need for the lock down. And if we defund a lot of police departments, in time we will see if he was right about the effects that will have on black lives in defunded police areas.
  11. Oh, and your friend can thank us for killing most of the yotes in the area this year and you should leave the sheep alone too.
  12. A great article about the whitetail's ancestors. https://www.qdma.com/this-strange-buck-was-a-throwback-to-extinct-whitetail-ancestors/?utm_campaign=6%2F15%2F20_Whitetail Weekly (UMPGxx)&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Klaviyo&utm_content=&_ke=eyJrbF9lbWFpbCI6ICJ2anBzckB5YWhvby5jb20iLCAia2xfY29tcGFueV9pZCI6ICJZeWdXUTcifQ%3D%3D
  13. The 28 gauge is really quite common and has basically been kept alive by it's class in regulation skeet shooting. It has all the punch of a 20 gauge, but less recoil and often comes in a lighter shotgun. The ammo is much more expensive though. It's like the 16 gauge is to the 12 gauge in smaller form. I have a CZ Ringneck in 28 gauge that is a great Grouse gun. I also have an H&R youth model single shot to get kids started with. Just wish the ammo was priced like 20 gauge shells are. 32 gauge is really an oddball. I think there are some other oddball gauges besides that one too.
  14. Eva may not appeal to some of you, and I don't watch cable TV so I don't know anything about her, but seeing her online I can tell you this. She's better looking than anyone I've ever hunted with. I would also rather spend a day hunting with her than anyone on here. No offense meant. I would love to have a mate that hunts with me. Had one that bitched about my hunting all the time, but wouldn't come even when encouraged. Expecting me to give up my passion to spend more time with her doing nothing seemed selfish. Spend more time with me by getting involved in my passion.
  15. 1930's Germany was ruled by Socialists and Fascists. In the US today, that would be the Democrats, ANTIFA and BLM. Your argument is invalid.
  16. Amnesty is all about a path to citizenship, and citizenship means they can vote.
  17. We don't have a Democracy. We have a Representative Republic. There's a huge difference. Mainly being, 51% of the vote doesn't get to rule the country. You know who has a Democracy where 51% of the vote rules? Venezuela. All of their current Socialist issues started when the Socialists got 51% of the vote. The Democrats in the US are the people that support the idea 51% of the vote should rule the US, so voting for Biden is more likely to end this country's freedoms.
  18. I think we also need some "dislikes" to use. LOL!
  19. You didn't mention anything about the people who supported the protest going after the man's job and calling DSS on him for having the audacity to try and start a dialog with them. Isn't that a free speech issue? Should there be such action taken to squash free speech? Isn't that a bit "intolerant"? What happened to disagreeing with an opinion, but defending a person's right to speak it? Of course everything about this issue favors the mob. After all, it's about mob rule.
  20. Cases are increasing due to more testing. Hospitalizations are not rising from the virus, but health officials fear more deaths will rise due to lack of medical care regarding other issues. More deaths are expected from the virus and the lock down cannot stop them. Do you believe we should continue to destroy the US economy until there are no deaths at all from this virus?
  21. Exactly, and if ANY Democrat becomes President in 2021, you can bet the entire country will be under siege in the same manner, with complete support from that Leftist Progressive Marxist Totalitarian Democrat President.
