A deer's noes is at least as good as a dogs . Now how can any sent block actually fool the noes of a deer when every breath you take leave sent on the ground . You would have to be in a space suit that was washed off after you got in it that held in in all body gases for it to actually work. Just my opinion.

Probably has to do with sent on the trail food on that trail and terrain. Wonder how long deer can smell sent from other deer on a trail ? Days? weeks? years ?
-
In my area they seem to be back at the same spots year after year only moving after being spooked to be back after a few days or weeks at the most seems like I have seen deer jump out of brush 10 feet from me so thick you would think it inpossible for something that big to move through it .

Do deer use the same trails areas year after year even if the have been hunted there
-
Yea good point some are only big game or bow only or fishing only for example . You have to look them up to know for sure

You can only hunt if the sign says you can hunt there you cant drive up any roads have to park at the entrance and walk in , you have to show your permit on the dash and have one on you at all times

So true I hunt in areas that it's a crap shoot if the cell phone will work back in there . I have fallen before thankfully never got hurt . Now that I'm getting older I watch every step like its, my last .

I use them on my 22 . For small game longer range you can't beat a scope . -

I actually was looking to buy one of the light weight tikkas the one I wanted did not come with iron sites when I asked if you could order it the guy in the store said know believe it or not . Wonder if that has changed . Lattly been hunting shotgun only zone so I just stay with the iron sites since your not going to be taking long shot with that anyway . Even the lightest scopes are going to add enough to notice . Especially with a 12ga shotgun that aready heavy loaded with slugs . I have plenty of othe hunting rifles Anyway the only thing that temps me to buy another is something super light . I picked up one of those tikkas the light version, was impressed would have gotten it if it had iron sites on it that time . -

Except if you more interested in shaving weight off what your using . Like in my case . Scopes are definitely more popular these days . I was looking for a new light weight rifle not to long ago and the one I wanted you couldn't even get with iron sites would have to get a gunsmith to add them on . It seemed strange that they would design a rifle to be super light like that and not have that as one of the options. -

Just wanted to add that another reason a I like iron sites for deer hunting under 100 yards is . With scopes you always have to worry about if something has changed and bad weather or them fogging up even tho I have scopes that are supposed to not fog up I have had that happen anyway at times when using face masks in really cold weather . Same with binoculars . Also for me personally just seems I can get on target faster at close range . I also just like having to carry less weight on my gun . -
I did it last year using leafy suit got within 20 yards then another hunter walking from other side of the deer spooked them these deer ran at me with in 1 yard they had no clue I was there looked like .

Oh even worse if there in your yard near your home or drive way and not deep in the woods because mushrooms are mostly water they can absorb up any chemicals that are aound , They can be easily contaminated by polluted groundwater or soil you have to be careful .
-
Cousin picked mushrooms look like that last year he got diarrhea from them he said. Don't no the name of them . Don't know if it's worth trying them out or not maybe he was allergic. Probably better to leave them be . Just to be on the safe side . Unless you know your not going to get sick from them

What county you find those at

After 20 yards shots get tricky unless you practice Alot even then shooting at a live deer is different then shooting at a target . That's why Alot of instructors will tell you to keep your shots close as possible.

Don't no I went few weeks ago and with leafs all on the trees still it is hard to tell what it's like in there walked a few trails very thick rough terrain I will check it out later in the season probably not the first place I'm going to hunt this year's that's for sure . But you never know . It's a huge !!! place

I went there for the first time a few weeks ago got the permit looked around I don't really like the terrain much to be honest. Compared to other places I go to .
