I’ve use them before. The few does I’ve seen on my property have dark glands so I’m wondering if they came into estrus yet. I remember reading they lick them clean after being bred.

No deer seen this morning but I had a good time still hunting along a swap I’ve been picking apart on google maps all the signs where there just no deer. Check out the size of this rub he bent the tree over and snapped the top off. Going to hunt my property for the afternoon and tomorrow.

I had a broken wrist in a cast during the late shot gun season. It didn’t rain but I had one of those shower bags they sell for washing in my backpack. Those long gutting gloves would work as well.

I forget if that’s what there call but the two glads on the inside of the back legs. I always thought when they where dark brown/black the doe didn’t breed yet. After breeding she cleans them to a cream/white ? Does anyone know what the deal is with them? i saw a few does the other day with brown/black wondering if they went into estrus yet.

Had the same little 3 point walking around he has scrapes and rubs all over back there hope he’s not the ruler of the roost!! I'm going back to the state land tomorrow morning rain or shine.

This was my pond it’s a creek again been watching this little muskrat for a half hour. He camera shy. I can’t get a pic.

Just got settled in when a wind swept rain blow thru good thing for rain gear. I’m riding this out only two days left.

Had a good day on the state land once I found a spot there was a lot of guys hunting anyway I worked my way around this swap didn’t see anything until 3 o’clock not sure if it was a buck or for just caught a glimpse of it coming down a hill then it went the opposite way. Tomorrow looks like a wash I’m going to try out back if it’s light rain.

The state land was Bust lot of guys hunting today. I had to go into a spot I never hunted. Nothing not even a track,poop, rub or any other animal. I need to find some hard woods these pines seem null and void of life.

There where a few rubs leading into the area plus it’s on a Rigde shelf. From what I’ve read that’s where bucks bed away from does I could be wrong.

Well saw a little three point down by the pond.Now I’m on the fence if I should hunt back there tomorrow or hit the state land again. I wish there was a little more wind. The snow really shows where they went along the pond which it looks like the beavers left it’s a stream again.

Nothing not even a squirrel. Fun wondering around in the snow. Circled a small swamp then went up a valley and found a bucks bedding area. This is the view from it. Going to change the wet clothes for dry and head down to the pond for the afternoon.
