The ruger gp100 in a 5” barrel was high on my list of must have guns. The debate over the caliber for bear is long from the research I did back a few years ago. Some swaer by it other don’t. I’m no one to give an opinion on the caliber,but the gun is rock solid.

I did one with my brothers doe got a lot turkey vultures and a yote. I was hoping to get a pic of the fisher that’s been hanging around my property.

The smell goes away but ya it’s stronge going on. And it works i spray deet on the inside pants legs but that smell stay there. Just extra peice of mind for me

Ya I let a cold go to long and it turned into an infection. I looked like I swollod an orange and it got stuck in my throat. Brutal pain. 51 years old and this is my first overnight in a hospital. I think a cat would have been insulted with that dinner.

Sitting in a hospital bed drooling. They gave me something that looked like macaroni and meat sauce.

I have a beaver pond on my 10 acres it’s a wildlife magnet. I also have a small creek up in the front of my property that the deer walk along. You can always remove the beaver and dran out the pond. But I doubt you will want to.

Well that wraps this trip up had a pretty good morning no deer but learned a little more about swamp donkeys. Found to beds on the edge in the grass. Also found lots of track leading into the swamp on the other side. I'll be back up for a ten day hunt the second week of November. good luck out there folks

Heading out for my last ml hunt. Going to the state land. Until it gets to warm. 42 and no wind now. Good luck everyone

I'm still hunting. The deer tracks went into the swamp. I plan on slow rolling in the early morning then exploring the second swap in the midday.

I may have asked this already but can't find the thread. Anyway when hunting a swamp do you go in the grassy area or skirt around looking in. I walked the edge today looking in and was wondering if I should go in ??

Nothing today heading back to the state land tomorrow. definatly putting my last ladder stand back where I was tonite.

Going to still hunt my property 70 degrees no wind.

Found a pretty good area this morning little swap and creek leading to a bigger swap. There is an old trail crossing the creek. Saw some deer tracks and rasin piles. Got to warm so I left heading back there tomorrow. Going to hunt local this afternoon.

40 degrees light winds. Going to still hunt on the state land. See if I can make something happen only one day left. good luck everyone
