I think it's all about breaking up your silhouette I use to wear a plan orange vest now I wear a camo orange i'm not 100% sure it matters but I feel more concealed not all camo is the same I have a pair of pants that comes out bright like a neon light on a trailcam but looks normal to the eye. I kept getting pick off by deer and couldn't figure out why until I saw a pic of me and my brother standing together on a trailcam pic. I wish I still had the pic it was unbelievable..

I knew that load would shoot better in cooler weather. I wasn’t happy with the groups I was getting over the summer so I didn’t hunt with the gun this year. I hit the range today with the same load and it tightened up pretty good. Bumped it up a little at 100yrds

If your not put some lube on the threads inside the gun I use these but you can get the in a plumbing store.

rachunter replied to Curmudgeon's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
thanks I had a refig problem last week and thru everything out back in a pile the ravens wiped out everything but the raw shrimp in a few hours. three days later and the shrimp was still there. I even saw a feral cat walk away from the shrimp. -

after spending seven days up at my place with the new wood burning stove I had installed over the summer I've decided to get a log splitter instead of buying or using an ax to split wood. so I've be doing some research and figured I ask here as well. i'm looking at the troybilt 27 ton and the country line 25 ton anyone use ether or have any advise on a better one. I know nothing about them i'll be splitting 17-18" logs. i'm a believer of buy once cry once so i'm looking for my best option.would like to keep it under $2000 thanks in advance

Another Gut Pile - Bone Yard - Scavenger Thread
rachunter replied to Curmudgeon's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
have you ever seen a bald eagle on one of your gut piles? when I was up at my place in the ADK I keep seeing one flying around the only thing I could think of was it was looking for gut piles left by deer hunters. -
Calling it a done trip cold rain now. Didn’t see anything. Going to pack up and take a nap then slow roll home. cogarts to all the successful and good luck to everyone.

Good wind for this stand my brother got a big doe in October this year. Now I can see how he hit the backstrap almost straight down. Didn't see or here anything, but did see a bald eagle fly by then back again pretty cool.
