  1. Skinny jeans in a red state? What the hell is going on here?
  2. Wife went in today for her antibodies test. We're certain she had it back in January. Will find out in a week or so.
  3. This is sad. The kind of stuff I did as a kid, I'm shocked I'm still alive today. Once when I was in middle school, I crossed the entire length of the Henry Hudson Bridge...from the bottom of it. I cringe to think my sons doing anything like that.
  4. One detail correction where he is wrong. "Wet market" does not mean bats. "Wet market" is basically a farmers market. It simply means the opposite of a "dry market" which is non-perishable goods. So thus a "wet market" is perishable goods such as beef, poultry, and vegetables. The concern isn't "wet markets". It's exotic meat trade which China has already banned. While it isn't currently permanent, it hasn't been lifted, and chances are it will become permanent. (But we all know like any law, it doesn't stop criminals.) https://news.mongabay.com/2020/04/chinese-ban-on-eating-wild-animals-likely-to-become-law-qa-with-wcss-aili-kang/ https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/05/asia/china-coronavirus-wildlife-consumption-ban-intl-hnk/index.html Also be careful. Right now it is a China's problem and not my problem but keep in mind that "exotic" and "wild" means squirrels, venison, wild turkey, etc. Just keep that in mind. All I can say is there is a reason my grandfather left that country and I'm glad he did.
  5. How would we account for those who regularly look after their elders? A lot of families choose not to keep their parents in nursing homes but rather simply look after them on their own. They minimize risks by staying home as much as possible and keeping themselves well protected. But if they have to venture out into a mass crowd every day for a 9 to 5 them go home to help their elderly parents? When we head towards normalcy, let's not leave anyone behind.
  6. That's sort of my issue. My parent are my babysitters. The fear is the kids run around outside and touch every thing then transfer it to them. If I have to go back to work without them being safe I would have logistical problems to figure out. By the way....how come they've never kidnapped me to Aruba?
  7. Rumor is that the Dolphins have traded up to Detroit's #3 but not for a QB but rather for OT. Who they draft is speculations but them moving up to #3 seems legit so far. May change the dynamics of the Giants pick. I prefer they trade back and gain extra picks but not too far as to miss out on Isaiah Simmons (my preference) or one of the tackles.
  8. It's the rate of spread and the ridiculous high rate for the sick and elderly. If we follow similar 0.5% for normal flu, even with the high estimate of 40,000 deaths from the flu, we are talking about 8 million infections from the normal flu for the year based on the 0.5% and 40,000 deaths. This virus if left unchecked can pretty much infect the entire populace. 0.5% of 300 million is no small number.
  9. Log back in and check the status. The message you back not to your email but to your NY.gov account. Might be some wrong or incomplete in the application? I applied April 6th. Received first check April 20th.
  10. Keeping her in my thoughts.
  11. Interesting. I never got that question.
  12. I read a recap that Astro's scheme works at any time. Boston's scheme requires a player to reach 2nd base. Hence the difference in punishment.
  13. Two people my parents knew from their home town. My aunt's friend. My boss' neighbor. Someone in my niece's building. My wife's uncle. That's 6 people (not counting AT's cousin) I have within 2 degrees of separation from that has died from this. People keep saying it's like the flu. I've never seen a flu season ever before where so many people I know passed away. Don't kid yourselves. This isn't some "fake news" I pulled from some new network. This is personal truths. PS: By the way. As details of my wife's passing came forth. Here are more facts. Since his work was closed due to the lock down, he couldn't sit home and do nothing so he decided to volunteer at a community center with 2 of his friends. Both those friends also passed away.
  14. Yes but let's say in a hypothetical world, all this blogging and research you're doing actually does succeed and convince the 1/2 dozen of us to believe you. What difference does that make? Maybe you should be standing in front of Albany with a sign instead making a real impact.
  15. Took me forever in the beginning because they site kept crashing and freezing. It was overloaded. I think they've gotten a handle of it now because the last 2 weeks it's been smooth and easy.
  16. Gronk, Howard, and Mike Evan would make for a huge receiving corp, though. Can dink and dunk your way up the field all day if played correctly.
  17. Chunky Celery Soup with Wild Rice and Air Fryer Wings for the win! I side my manhood with The Jerkman but I also secretly karaoke to The Backstreet Boys so I don’t know if I’m helping him or bringing him down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Now I'm curious as to what the Bucs do with OJ Howard and Cameron Brate. Jason Garrett likes running 2 TE sets. I certainly don't mind Howard on the Giants.
  19. A yes. Because the virus started 4 months ago and infected everyone all at once at the same time. Since you are not one of those who did get infected, you're good? That's not how it works. They can literally test you right now and you'll be in the clear and as you walk out, touch an infected surface and get infected the very next second. Also, why should you practice proper range safety when others are not, right? And everyone is already shooting and no one has been shot yet. Even if someone does get shot, it's not your problem. Your family didn't come go to the range that day. These range rules are clearly the range officers diabolical tricks to try to control you.
  20. People who wear it incorrectly can put themselves at risk. But sir, that's you. You're the wearer. Just don't put it on incorrectly. It's not like the person who put on their mask incorrectly is touching your face.
  21. The one you just posted is dated March 2nd. The one I posted was April 3rd in which he admits he was wrong and that you should wear it.
