The beach plug just unscrews on mine. The hard part was clearing the round because the ram rod is shorter than the barrel. So I unscrewed the palm saver on the ram rod, pushed the ram rod as far as I could through the barrel from the break, then pushed the ram rod with a stick to clear the bad power and round out of the muzzle, then just pulled out the ram rod and reloaded. Muzzleloader WNY Buck Sat in a tree for 3.5 hrs. A few doe ran up to me about 10:30. I raised up on one and, pft.... misfire. Saw three run off I put a new primer in and after a few minutes wondered if my powder got wet. It did. Pushed the bad load out with my ram rod and pushed my ram rod through with a stick from the tree I was in. Reloaded and waited till noon. Got down and walked through the wet leaves in silence with the wind in my favor. Followed a trail of fresh scat piles every 50/100 yds and as I popped my head over a hill/mound i saw him standing about 70 yds looking in my direction. I knew he couldn't smell me. I raised up quick, pulled the hammer back lined him up and squeezed. As the smoke cleared I saw two more deer run off that were with him. I reloaded quick and peered through my binos. Frontal neck can kill, it's just more risk I guess. I would think only would be available from the ground. I've heard a ton of people only shoot side neck shots and they drop and don't waste (!?) meat (neck meat is still good!). Saw a button buck today this am. No movement near me lots of wind so I still hunted around a little Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk

Saw two big doe in our large cut grass field this am, then a small fork walked up to my tree and ate some apples then walked off. Then two fawns run up to my stand and grazed a little. About half hour later a buck came down their trail but didn't come over the property line. Then another bugger buck did the same thing. Then I heard shots on my neighbor's land lol. Grunted the buck in at 8am and shot the doe around 9. Perfect shot on him, he dies within 50yds. Shot ended up being liver on her, gave her three hours, came down from my stand and she was within eyesight, around 60ish yds. She's laying flopped on her side. She gets up and walks off slowly. Caught up with her later about 200yds away bed down eventually after getting permission from the neighbor. What a guy! He came out on his side by side, distracted her while I snuck up on her and put another bolt through her heart. She excited shortly after. Then he helped me load her up, drove us back to my truck and helped me gut her and load her in my truck. I couldn't be more thankful to that neighbor, he went way above and beyond. I have these in all my stands. This morning I fell too when stepping down to the top of the bottom climbing stick. Probably only like 6ish ft but thank God it felt like I landed on a little of pillows. It was slippery and the route and prussick know were wet. The only thing I cleary remember is hearing prussick knot that's attached to my harness just going, "zzzzzzzz" all the way down.
