  2. Yeah, the private holds a pretty good doe herd, young bucks and 2-4 local big shooters from Jan-opening day of gun lol. I'm really the only one that hunts it during bow and I try to be a ghost and not spook or pressure them at all. I went out last Friday to scout for this week and maybe get lucky. I didn't even cut a track on the whole property, and there was fresh (2day old) snow. Only the tracks of the guys that gun hunt and blow the property out for the rest of the season. Don't like to say it but, "If it's brown, it's down." I'm trying to fill the freezers, I have myself, my wife, and my two out of three little ones love venison!
  3. Either going to a super over-pressured private 50 acres that has hopefully calmed down this week, or gonna hang and hunt beast-style at public. Depends on the wind, I guess...
  4. I got these this year after getting Irish Setter's a couple years ago. The Irish Setter's were comfortable but my toes would still be freezing after a few hours, maybe I should've got a size bigger. But the LaCrosse boots are awesome. Scentproof, waterproof, warm as hell. Haven't been an issue this year, we'll see next week for late bow! I got them from Cabela's, but they're on sale right now I guess on LaCrosse.com. I think they're the same model/style just different colors.(?) https://www.cabelas.com/product/LACROSSE-AEROHEAD-SPORT-MM-RUBBER-BOOT-DS/2432348.uts?slotId=8 https://www.lacrossefootwear.com/catalog/product/view/id/40478/s/aerohead-18-realtree-max-5-7-0mm/category/440/

  11. Passed on this guy last weekend but today's the last day, he walked into my lap twice and he'll taste better than an unused tag tho Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  12. Walked past a stand and sat at another less pressured stand. Then walked, pulled a card from a further back spot and decided to finish the afternoon at the front of the property. I walked back past the initial stand and saw fresh tracks. Twenty four minutes earlier a nice, new buck had just walked past that stand .... 10 yds.... I have to open at work then leaving hopefully at 7:30 to get back out there. Well, that's where I'm sitting all day today and tomorrow. Crazy season so far.
  13. I've been a ghost all season. Time to get aggressive. Good luck whoever's out today Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  14. Looked for another 4hrs, had to head home. Wife's home alone with 3 kids under 3 years old and she's not too happy. Im heartbroken. Saw a giant 8 aaaaaand a yote this am. Thanks for offering I appreciate it Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  15. Anyone recommend dear search/tracking dog near springville, just in case? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  16. Shot him 1 second after this was taken. Followed blood but was hard in the dark and didn't want to bump him. Long, loud grunt at him. He was at least 150yds away pestering a doe, he trotted right to my stand. Heading back at sun up. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  17. Not a libertarian if he's harassing and encroaching on another person.
  18. Hell yeah do it, do it! I switched stand locations earlier this season, had the wind in my face. I bumped some big bodied deer but they just bounded off because of my noise I think. They were back an hour or so later, I had a nice shooter and two 1.5 year old spikes with 3 big does that evening. I plan on moving another hang on next weekend to a 'rut spot' and hunting there 11/8-11/15. Gotta try!
  19. I'm hoping to see some movement this afternoon, I'll be out there afternoon till sunset
  20. I purchased the Vortex chest harness and so far I like it. In retrospect, I would have rather picked up a camo harness, because it's khaki colored and the rest of me is pretty camouflaged. But, I had left over 'stealth strips and covered it up pretty good. I posted earlier in the season here if you want to check it out.
  21. I bought the 3 pack. Use a linemans belt/strap to initially set the stand and lifeline up. It's so quiet too! You can also use the lifeline as the 'treestrap' when you're in the stand. They also have lifelines that are highly reflective so they're super easy to spot when going in, in the dark. I highly recommend!
  22. Back in the tree, saw a nice big doe that got pushed by a spike. Here we go Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
