    Thanksgiving morning buck.squirrels were driving me crazy all morning!heard a crunch to my left and knew it wasnt a squirrel.he walked in 25yrds from me.stopped as he heard the safety click off.luckily he stopped with head behind tree.shot hit its mark.right front shoulder and clipped heart.went 20-30 yrds and flopped.great to have my dad with me as he hasnt been out in prob 15yrs and a pretty emotional hunt as i just lost my grandfather earlier this year and said i would get him a buck!

    Dad is talking about going back out after he eats.hoping to get him on a deer.half tempted to bring the .22 out to take out a couple squirrels.just dont want to screw his hunt up.ill be on other side of property.any thoughts on that?

    I always do.did this morning on buck although knew shot was good.took 2nd shot and missed as he took a hard left turn.took out right front shoulder aswell and ended up clipping heart.only went 30 yards but can never be too sure!

    Up and moving around making sure im ready to go.have my father and a friend from work going out with me this morning.usually atleast see deer every thanksgiving morning.hoping that atleast my dad can connect!

    Hard to say on this one with how some of the guys out there will walk through woods and start shooting like crazy.deflection and or running shot gone wrong.who really knows

    Took tomorrow off.plumber coming as per the landlord.i rent and hes useless.ive done more on the plumbing issues than he has...hunt in the morning or sleep in?

    Getting ready to head out soon.sitting in a patch of pines and got my dad going out with me this morning.first time in prob 15 years hes getting back into it.got him on the ground in a spot i know they come in to bed down.hoping he can get a shot off.snow here in 8g
