    In the same spot again this morning. Windows are down Gun is loaded and heater is on stand by. My major hope for today is that my daughter will join me for the afternoon sit in the box blind we built “together”.     Late posting but with 5 min to spare I took a medium size doe. About 60 yards and I punched her right through the heart. She mule kicked and went 30 yards before piling up. No pictures as it was to dark to take a good one. My new enclosed stand was fantastic. I dressed real light and turned on the heater when needed. Never even put gloves on.     As time expires 2 doe come in to 30 yards. A little while later a nice buck comes out and starts chasing 2 other doe. Now I’m stuck in the tree with her at 17 yards! After legal shooting time! F me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Thanks, I had such high hopes about this season especially after taking my first bow deer last season. If the wind would calm down a little I might be able to enjoy the weather just a bit more. I think I’ve sucked half this ladder stand up my butt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Out for the last bow sit of the year. Decided on different piece of property with a creek 100 yards north and a field 100 yards east. It’s still 60 and very windy and on top of do that the neighbor to the west is logging right now so I have little hope this is the sit that will make my season Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I'll be out tomorrow as well for the last bow hunt of the year and this is the first year in my 6 seasons that I'll be happy to put a gun in my hand. The bow season has been super frustrating for me with hardly any sightings a majority of the ones I have seen have been way out of range and would not respond to call's and the 2 that where in range a screwed up on.

    Such a difficult time Zag. I’m afraid I’m not to far behind with my black lab. Her health has deteriorated substantially over this last year. Hearing and eye sight are going, back leg muscles are weakening etc. she’s just an old dog getting to her last days. I wish you and the family all the best in the difficult time ahead.     I’ll be in the same spot where my deer hunting career started some 23 years ago situated along an escape route for them I’ll sit dark to dark and often catch them moving mid day as hunters come in or go back out after lunch. Only difference is this year I cut down the old built in stand and put up a permanent enclosed tower with heat. Really looking forward to the ultra comfortable sit this year!
