Vaccination

Mike , your example furthers my argument that you can’t over generalize people in relation to COVID!! I have no doubt That what you say is true but by saying that , are you implying that there are no breakthroughs documented in the vaxxed ?? Really ?? You know there a ton!! That’s why I’m saying that you guys shouldn’t fall into this trap of demonizing people Who aren’t vaxxed !!! There’s too much unknown out there about this virus still - don’t do it !!! -

That’s unfortunate , really - and your point is ? -

Not if they've already had COVID. I question the contention that a vaxxed person whos never been infected has more protection confereed via receiving the vaccine than one who was infected the old fashioned way. However, very few members of the population are likely remaining in this category. Says who? If your asympomatic but test positive, that means you have the virus!! And if you have the virus, that means its replicating inside you!! /And if its replicating in your cells , it can -and will- eventually mutate leading to the devlopment of variants!! asymptomatic vaxxed people can contribute to the devpt of variants every bit as much as unvaxxed people who are asymptomatic. Indeed, but the vaxxed popluation is far more likely to be to not exhibit symptoms yet carry the virus . Unless, o focurse, were talking about people unvaxxed and had covid, then its probbaly similar. Nonnsense as you can see above. Yes, see above -
Hey Guys , I noticed last weekend while scouting that , overall , there was a general lack of deer sign in my normal haunts ; this included tracks , runs scrapes , scat , etc. You name it - I wasn’t seeing it !! Surprised and dismayed me because I’m concerned that perhaps the Local deer population may have taken a hit for whatever reason. Anyone seeing the same thing as me out there ?

Of course , and rather than reply to my challenge and provide evidence backing his claims , he resorts to petty personal attacks and insults - typical . Seriously , this is what frustrates me about arguing with liberals because they often do this !! Grouse is right Lol!! -

You still have not provided evidence as to why You say that unvaxxed people are more of a risk to vaxxed people than other vaxxed people . I am NOT talking about the efficacy of the vaccine !! I’m not talking about the fact that , On average , it reduces the likelihood of a more severe progression or outcome if infected !! Uninformed ??? Please - inform me then!! I think you know this too, that you simply cannot ; you’re done because you can’t substantiate your assertion - period !! -

Can you explain why when - as it appears - vaxxed people can develop the virus as well , and since they can develop the virus , they can also transmit to others , vaxxed or not. Im calling you on your assertion that unvaxxed people are more of a danger than other vaxxed people . Don’t get me wrong here: I fully understand my own risk by not getting vaxxed and have accepted that - my point is that my being unvaxxed is no more a risk to vaxxed people than Other vaxxed people. I mean , if you believe in the efficacy of the vaccine , then you should be protected REGARDLESS of the vaccine status of the person next to you , correct? Would you say that Colin Powell , prior to his death was less of a risk to you and other vaxxed people than I - Certainly not . Jus because you’re vaxxed does NOT mean you can’t be a vector ; in fact , I would argue that risk to others of transmission may be even higher for For the vaxxed Due to the greater likelihood of asymptomatic transmission. And , if you believe that asymptomatic people are not carriers , then what the hell are we doing and worried about in the first place then with all of these social / public Restrictions and mandates? -

Of course I am- that is what this discussion is about. I'm wondering if youre referring to athose greater at risk from unvaxxed when they themselves are vaxxed. -

And who are those “ others “More at risk due to their choice to not get vaxxed ? -

I see it as a dangerous precedent which- despite being well intentioned (although I honestly question that, too)- may lead to further governemtal control of the populace. Of course not!! If therte are side effects that are discovered later, I wanna be one of the smart ones who refused to take it !! I wouldnt care about blaming at that point , Id just feel good about the fact that I trusted my gut and resisted the govts attempt to control me!! -

Unless there are side effects discovered such as chronic ailments , cancer, etc. disocvered years doen the road that are directly linked to its use . Certainly, That may not be the case, but you dont know that Mike. And IF that does turn out to be the case, you voluntarily took the vaccine so you only have yourself to blame. If the vaxx is madatory and others did it only for compulsory reasons, then the govt is to blame- not cool in my book. -

Yes , it is and as you say , “I draw my line wherever I want “, point being , I retain control over that - well , at least for now . At the rate we’re going though , perhaps none of us will retain the ability to make choices for themselves . Indeed , that is a scary and unsettling thought . I think you should think about what I’m saying instead of automatically acceding to whatever the govt demands and decides. -

Some of us are resistant to take it based on principle , my friend - point being , I don’t want the government telling me that I must because they say so. We are traveling down a dangerous road right now , I’m telling you !! And , if you’re willing to grant the govt that right , it may become much easier for them to assert other regulatory measures over other aspects of our lives . -

I didn’t , but thanks . Now , in regards to less trivial matters , I was responding to Chef’s reply which focused on - as you described- my second point . Can you refute it ? That is key here , especially as it pertains to the tone and tenor of this thread , I think as some here seem to be of the opinion that when vaxxed people- due to their altruistic and selfless regard for others- are virtuous Because they no longer are a danger to others in terms of COVID due to the fact that they can no longer serve as disease vectors . I’ m saying that position is erroneous and inaccurate ; Powell’s death is a testament to that fact . -

That is not the point he referenced in his reply Mike. He ignored the first point entirely, so, maybe it wasn't convenient for him !! Also, I dont belive the misspell was directed towards me as Virgil cited someones else's quote in his reply, not mine. If youre referring to the fact that I left out the apostophe in you're (I put youre instead), that's a bit fastidious , don't you think? Everyone has mispells when they type informal replies in a discussion, even you, so come on!! -

Youre missing my point- i'm talking about his ability to transmit to others, which is very clear that he could, despite his status as being vaxxed. -

Northcountryman replied to johnplav's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Doesn't matter Vinny- my point is that despite being vaxxed, he still was a vector for transmission. There are ALOT of people who were aymptomatic walking around prior to tha vax that spread it , unbeknownst to them and others and now, post vax, the same situation persists. Just because your're vaxxed doesnt mean you cant give to others- remember that. -

Considering that Colin Powell passed away from COVID , yet was fully vaxxed, isn’t it clear that vaxxed people can not only still develop full blown COVID ( for Virgil , lol) but also , be vectors for transmission? Enough of the public shaming of Individuals who exercise their right to assert their individual freedoms and make their own personal choices as to what chemicals are introduced into their bodies , I say !! -

Awesome riposte -
Wait : I’m not following you . Are you saying the return rubs on opposite sides will likely be on OTHER trees in the line somewhere ? If so , I will. Have to look for that when I go back
-
Looks to me like that rubbing line is along a bench ; my guess is that he’s coming up from the bottom to either bed or feed . The area below and to the right has a major downslope into a creek bottom and is quite remote . I’m thinking that’s probably his bedding area / sanctuary . Up and to the left is the road and some houses- they usually come up into yards in the late afternoon/ early evening , right ? I need to stick a trail cam along the rubline to get a look at him and figure out patterns. Also , straight south is another road and a big piece of property w house and field ; considering this , could have it completely backwards and he’s actually going down there to feed/ hang out . To me , This is one of the Most interesting aspects of hunting - trying to solve the puzzle the deer present to us!!
-
This is a pic of the rub line on HuntStand . I just can’t imagine where they’re feeding unless they’re heading north to the road at night and then go back down southeast to the lower ground to bed
-
Yes , that makes sense, thanks guys . So do they tend to rub more when going to bed or going to eat Would you say ?
