Did my morning running around time to go move cameras and do some scouting/still hunting until noon. Then home for the day.

I’ll be hitting it hard the next 2 weeks every morning. Have stuff to do this morning and doing my scouting I wanted and then Monday I start the every morning grind until I can get something on the ground. on the bright side I have seen next to no hunting pressure on all the stateland I hunt. One atv one day somewhat close to where I hunt and then 1 guy walk under my stand opening week 15mins before shooting light ended but that’s been it. I have yet to ever see crossbow make that much of a difference on stateland near me so I don’t worry once that starts.

Not liking the temps coming up. Mornings should still be decent and they are going to chase regardless but 60-70s first week of November sucks.

It’s almost as if she’s tells you to hurry your ass up. Lol

Scouting tomorrow around noon after pulling a cell camera that’s not getting anything on it. I’m trying to focus on a split g2 buck in a thick nasty swamp. There’s one clearing in it that’s maybe 25yrds by 10yrds. Issue I’m going to have is getting into it because it’s just a wall of brush before it thins out. There’s also stateland on the other side of the road that had a huge scrape last year so going to check that first. I have the split g2 buck I’ve been watching all summer and he was in there on camera on the 20th in daylight and another small 8pt who’s been on it almost every other day.

I pulled a camera the other day and was surprised to see that I had a blond coyote also. hopefully that big 6 shows up shortly for you.

1 doe this morning was all. She acted like something was in the thicket behind her but I never saw anything else. Going to give that spot a break and go try and catch up to the split g2 buck. doe picture is 20mins before I got on stand this morning,6pt is the bigger one I passed yesterday morning and the split g2 buck is who I’m chasing the next couple days also has a smaller 8pt friend in the same swamp.

Up and in. Camera went off as I was hiking back and that doe was back on the scrape. Hoping something is in tow in 30mins. good luck to those out

Up getting ready. 6pt I passed yesterday was on camera last night again. Also think there’s a doe coming into heat because she hung around the scrape for 2hrs last night.

Had a great sit this morning. Saw 2 different 6 points the second one being a borderline shooter for me. He may not get a second pass. Also saw a big flock of turkeys and one gobbled 3 times. watched the little 6pt make a scrape at 15yrds. He was right in front of my cell camera. The bigger 6 I’m pretty sure is the buck I had on camera yesterday morning. I’m in a tree just on the other side of the beech trees on the left. Other picture is from yesterday but the deer I let walk today at 12 yards.

Play the thermals. They should pull harder than the wind is going. Once that sun dips and you can have a slope of a hill to your back side the thermals should pull down the hill and away from expected deer travel.

Good luck to those out tonight. I’m going back to same spot tomorrow morning as I was this morning. Hoping for one of the big ones to cruise by. However that big 6 comes back through it’s going to be tough to let him go a second time.

Was just made aware a potential 150-170”is day lighting on my FIL if his co owner of the property isn’t going Monday I’m going to try to sneak on and get it. I have seen the trail camera picture of him and he is pushing that all day.

Winds starting to shift and blow into bedding. Going to adjust my stand and get out now

Sitting another 1.5 and leaving my stand for the night just going to reposition it and I’ll be back to hunt it tomorrow morning. That is unless a shooter comes past. sent my wife a picture of the buck I passed and she asked me if I was dumb. Lol

Nothing since the 6 pt. Staying in until 2 hoping for a midday cruiser. Did have turkeys gobbling about 1hr ago. as I was typing this a big6 came up on me. Grabbed the bow but let it walk pretty sure picture from yesterday was him

Just passed this 6 pt. Watched him make a couple scrapes and feed off.

Nothing so far but cameras say 8-9. This spot is usually good all day sits between 4 bedding areas

Up and getting ready shortly. Had a nice surprise on camera. Have another good buck show up for the first time last night. So hoping one of the 3 good ones show up today. First pic is the new one from over night.

My brother called me and we are going to try and tag team the gun spot tomorrow. He’s going to his spot the next ridge over from me so hopefully one of us gets eyes on a shooter.

Can’t wait for the morning and the forecast is looking great with the pressure going through the roof. Expected to be in low 30s by morning.

I’ll be in the tree just to the right of the bucks head(last photo) tomorrow morning. 2 daylight photos in 2 of last 3 days at 840. Going to sit there the next couple mornings to see what I can come up with.

Just a doe today pulled cameras and had 1 big buck and another decent from October 1st-October 20th. Once I got service I had a shooter in front of my camera at 8am this morning in another spot. the first picture I was 100yrds from that camera I think I probably jumped him going into that spot.
