Wind switched so I got down at 11 saw 1 doe. Went and pulled a camera and had a great buck on it. Got into service and had a shooter in front of one of my other spots. Second picture is from this morning

Just got the news we are ranked #2 in sectionals and host the first game Tuesday.

Car is all packed for the morning hunt. Going to sit from dark until 2:00 unless I can get something before that. Going to focus on a ridge system from last year for the next couple days. The day I killed my buck last year he was one of 3 bucks on that ridge that I saw. The ridge wraps almost like a horseshoe around a thick swamp with a bunch of bedding in it. The bucks use the ridge to check for trails going in and out.

Just got out of work I have 3 scheduled days to work from now until 11/30. The weather drop is looking great and have the wind I was hoping to have. I’ll be out the next 3 mornings until 2 in the afternoon if conditions allow.

Weather Thursday and Friday look great with the pressure going through the roof as well.

Woke up to what appears to be a little buck running for it’s life with a bigger buck on its heels.

Need my vacation to start. 2 more shifts and I’m off until the end of November. Bucks keep popping up on camera.

End of the week looks good. 70 Wednesday and then the next 2 days is 55 for a high with mornings in the 30&40s. I’ll be on the ridge I was last year when I killed my bow buck. Hoping that big 7 sticks to his routine from last year and comes by around 10am or one of his counter parts. Will only change my plan if cameras start showing day time activity in those spots.

Found what I was looking for. Small orchard in between 2 bedding areas with a scrape in the middle bunch of historical rubs in the area. Hung a camera and left. Going to let the camera tell me when they are daylighting.

Headed out to still hunt/ scout to hang cameras. My gun spot is picking up with deer now. Woke up to a decent 7pt on camera. I will hunt this spot during bow but not until the end of October. Just one of those spots hunt 2 or 3 times a year anymore than that and it’s too much pressure on them.

Be out the morning doing a speed scout and hang a couple cameras before my daughters bday and I go back into work.

Took 4 sets gave up a 10pt lead in the 4th set and finally won it 26-24 to take the title. The other team is great this is 2 years in a row both teams competed for the title. They got it last year and now it’s with us. Both programs are strong all the way to 7th grade so this won’t be the last time they meet up.

Same I’ve just started the last couple years focusing on bedding area hunting and getting some success but it’s a steep learning curve.
