  1. For my milsurps I always use this guy. http://www.gunboards.com/sites/reichoutfitters/index.html Rick is a heck of a guy to deal with...you will not beat his prices.
  2. A while back I had started a Knight thread and it had to be removed because some people could not play nice I guess. Let's try to keep this one here ok? I recently mailed Knight for information because I need work done on a safety for my KP-1. This is information for anyone that has the "older" Knights and needs any repair work, information etc. Mr. Thompson, Please contact Pat Fitzgerald. The KP1 issues are being taken care of by the former owners. His number is 256-260-8968. Thank you Thank you, Jaclyn Botterbush Knight Rifles, CSR 866-518-4181
  3. Aww Ed...I could'nt persuede the paper boy to drive 3 1/2 hours to deliver it to me this morning. Maybe a hint of what's inside maybe?
  4. If it all has ethanol then why run high test? My thought is that it burns hotter and thus burning up more of the "junk" they have added into it. I have run small engines for many years without a problem on reg gas and have only had problems since this added stuff.Previous to when they started the ethanol,I had purchased an 029 Super Farm Boss from the local dealer who said it was ok to run regular in it. Then the ethanol came out and in one season the hose from the tank to the carb recieved 100's of tiny holes in it. Took it to said dealer and low and behold,he states that the new hose is made from a different material and the gas won't "eat" through it. I bought and extra "justin case". Now all I run is high test and stabil in all my toys.
  5. Looks like a good fillet knife....shure holds a nice edge long, especially after doing the neck bones. I love the hook, gonna get me one a dem yeah. I like to take my time....that's the fun of it all,you know,we judge the size of the deer by how many beers you had while processing it... That deer he did there was a 6 packer...nice size.
  6. Dances with wolves Jeramiah Johnson A man called horse
  7. Backwards YES! Ethanol JUNK YES! Lower mpg YES! I have ruined but repairable,2 saws that were in perfect condition from regular gas. New piston, rings and carb on both to fix+labor. The bill I get from the dealer now have "USE HIGH TEST GAS ONLY" on the bill now.....never did before.
  8. Are you high? Just kiddin.....that's a good Bud commercial.
  9. Right here Ed.....http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-COLLECTABLE-TOBACCO-HERB-ELECTRIC-GRINGER-MULLER-/310181806301
  10. As far as blades, all you really need is a good butcher and a good fillet.
  11. Spoke a little too soon did we? This is just getting to be sucky now. Could be a foot of "snit" cross between snow and shxx,by tomorrow norning.
  12. Would look nice on the trophy room wall.....
  13. Some snow in the woods here and there. But man is it wet! Very wet.
  14. I just got back from the cabin...went below to the stone wall and put out some scraps,a turkey carcass, the drippings, half a cake nobody ate and other table scraps. Set everything up on a melted set of tracks that look like the fishers tracks....won't be heading back up for a few weeks maybe. This could be very interesting. Can't wait.
  15. I understand this is an older thread but I just gotta know something. Do you have a backer plate behind the 2x6 for the winch? Can you get close enough to the door with a truck to be able to hook up the deer and not have to drag the deer to the garage,if so...that's great! That's a great setup.
  16. Great idea. I was hunting with a friend once..in the rain. To keep the scopes dry on the eye end (lol) I suggested we use a little samich baggy. Worked well....until my friend pulled up on a nice 8pnt and forgot it was on there.I think he may have been a little ticked off at me. I will be trying this glove idea though.
  17. Nice pics....I see what your saying on the last one.
  18. The couple I have living near the house gives my cat a good workout this time of year when I let him out in the yard. If there's no season on them, and they are'nt covered in the hunting laws book, they may be protected.....no,i'm not serious. Tastes like chicken.
  19. Heading North to the cabin this afternoon. Oswego County,Tug Hill area. Will give a snow report Sunday afternoon.
  20. Ok I get it. Wife always yells at me when I open the lid on the crock to test a sample....
  21. Absolutely ! Not exactly understanding what you mean by overcooking, but crock pot 8 hr or 3hr canning could be construed as over cooking. Both methods are excellent ways to cook any meat actually.
  22. I have my favorite "hot" sauces, and I have my favorite great tasting "hot" sauces. My favorite tasting is (red) Tabasco and Franks Red Hot. My Favorite "gnarly heat, rip you a new azz" hot sauces are 1) Dave's insanity sauce (warning:very wicked and could be hazardous) 2) Bull Snort Fire in the Hole Habanero with warning label 3)Spontaneous Combustion with Danger Warning! From South West #1 completely sucks for flavor, but the heat is undescribable...true battery acid. #2 Extremely hot,but has true habanero flavor and heat. #3) Almost identicle to #2 quite good...but very hot. In my opinion,Tabasco is the best all around, great tasting hot sauce on the heat side, but Franks is the best tasting hot sauce without the heat. Honorable mention would have to go to Louisianna brand hot sauce that comes in almost identicle to Franks.
