  1. Sweet deal. Maybe you'll be taking me up on that taxidermy offer after all. Good luck!
  2. Thanks for the kind words. If ever you need a taxidermist to mount your deer, just PM me!
  3. I believe that the head and cape had been in the freezer for 8-10 yrs so the skin/hide was basically freeze dried on the skull.
  4. This guy was a late arrival to the shop this spring. Apparently, he had been in the freezer for several years. I had to dig up a new cape for the mount...but everything came together beautifully and he is now ready to get the attention he deserves for years to come!
  5. Overall, this area is typical NYS deer hunting...lots of pressure with little QDM being practiced. Luckily, there's enough cover around that a few bucks manage to make it to maturity. This ain't Iowa by any means!!!
  6. Fingers crossed that he shows up again post season. A buddy of mine who hunts an adjacent property passed him last season but says he probably won't pass him this year if the opportunity presents itself.
  7. He's only a 3 yr old which would make the pass even tougher! My wife said he would look good on her wall RIGHT NOW!!! LOL
  8. Oops I see I posted this in the sub-forum instead of the main trailcam section.
  9. Of all of the bucks that I have had on cam this year...this young stud ranks up there as one of my favorites. I only captured him twice over the summer as I believe he was focusing on some beans down the road always. Anyways, I was pleasantly surprised to finally get a few good pics of him and have my fingers crossed that he can survive for another year or two. He's definitely one of the best looking 3.5 yr olds that I've had on this farm in the 12 years that I've been running cams here. Last year at 2.5. I have both sheds...
  10. Although I had a slow morning in the stand, I did get in a beautiful Steuben County 10pt that a buddy of mine's son killed this morning during the youth hunt... Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  11. Message me and we'll get it sorted out
  12. The opening week of bow season has been crazy. The early October cold front really had the bucks up and moving and I've taken in more than half of my desired quota for the ENTIRE season already!!! Due to this fact, I am temporarily going to stop taking any more for a while. Thanks to everyone who has entrusted me with their 2020 Season trophies. I will update this thread when I'm ready to start taking them in again. Thanks and good luck!
  13. Does this qualify officer? Lol Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  14. We don't believe in using them here in Steuben County...[emoji1787] Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  15. Idk...my scale is broken but he's a pretty stout 3.5 yr old, probably 170-175 dressed. Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  16. They're dropping like flies. I can't get away from the stinking things. Another one hanging in my garage with someone else's tag on it... Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  17. My wife lost all the arrows out of her quiver the other night...still have to find a couple of them!
  18. Actually, one of the three was an older kill that the hunter decided to mount now with a new cape. Due to taxidermist - hunter confidentiality I can't post pics of the other two which have not been posted on this thread. One of which is the buck Moog referred to
  19. I'm up to 6 mounts already. I'm going to have to start turning them down soon out I'll totally blow my ENTIRE season limit of 15 by November 1st! Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
