  1. Few more. Was particularly excited to see that this 5 yr old had blown up since last year. There are still several bucks of this caliber that are playing hard to get pics of...
  2. I'm getting a TON of bucks on cam here, lots of good up and comer 2 and 3 yr olds. Even with 6-7 cams running its tough to get them in close on this 50 acre hay/alfalfa field. A few of the nicer ones that cooperated...
  3. No 2021 bucks until the '20s are done!!! Lol
  4. He's a brute. Congrats!
  5. I'm chomping at the bit to start working on my own mount now. I'm thinking of ditching the revolution form for a Frankenstein wall ped of my own design!
  6. I definitely could. With greater notoriety comes more demand and higher prices. So does inflation...lol.
  7. This deer was killed opening morning. The next day his sister killed a 152" 14pt off of the same foodplot!
  8. A buddy of mine who also does part time taxidermy in town just sold all his taxidermy stuff and is moving to Tennessee. I'll have to definitely start turning people way this fall or go full time. Taking in 45 heads last season was MORE than enough for me!!!
  9. Here's another beautiful 144" Steuben County gun buck ready to head home with a buddy of mine. I really like the full sneak pose. I'm especially happy with how this guy turned out since he came back from the tannery with a severely cut up eye on one side and some sizable ear tears.
  10. Your two wall peds will be coming back soon, I promise...lol. I'm only able to mount 1 to 2 heads per weekend but my ultimate goal is to be wrapped up by Oct 1. Besides, your mancave isn't even complete yet!
  11. Yeah, it's not too unusual. My gun buck was the same way.
  12. I don't have any on hand other than this. He was a pretty distinctive light colored deer with a orange forehead.
  13. I may have to try that on one of Phade's bucks that are in the waiting que...lol
  14. The one thing that kind of sucks about this particular mount is that it's not the original cape. The guy spined the buck and as he was flopping around on the ground he took another shot and blew a chunk out of the base of the antler and the bullet exited out of his ear and totally destroyed it!
  15. Ended up at 140 gross...19.5" inside. He lost tinelength from 5.5 but picked up some mass.
  16. A pictoral history... 2017 at 3.5 yrs old. He apparantly lost his eye between November 3 and 11 that year Only grew one antler in 2018 as a 4 yr old No velvet pics of him in 2019 as his range appearred to have shifted to some beanfields about a mile away. He returned in late November and stayed on cam til shedding in mid January. Once again in 2020 I had very few summer pics of him but he returned in October...
  17. I just finished up this bruiser, a 6.5 yr old buck that I called "One Eye." The deer first showed up on cam right after season in 2016 as an average 2.5 year old 7pt. He managed to evade hunters until he popped out on the neighbor's cloverfield at the wrong time during the opening week of rifle season. It was a little bittersweet to mount a buck that you have 5 years of history with but didn't end up tagging. Anyways, I think that he turned out really awesome.
  18. He looks better on that wall than he did on my red barn!!!
  19. This beauty is ready to go home with Mr. johnplav...
  20. Moved post to forum members thread..
  21. Great guy to deal with! Between my wife and I we're up to 5 bows from him I believe...
  22. We'll let Phade make the final call on that one...
  23. The only forum buck that I have at home besides your two which I haven't done yet...
  24. I was referring to the buck. Phade...idk? Lol
