  1. Here's the cell phone pic of Big Boy that my buddy took out the tractor window a few days ago. He WILL NOT get a pass (I'm not crazy) but I don't plan on hunting him. He's still alive for a reason... This is Little Freak Nasty. He WILL get a pass if I see him this weekend. He's nocturnal and I'm certain he won't show himself during legal shooting hours anyways... ,,,
  2. I'm not too worried about the late season. There's not much interest in it around here...
  3. A buddy of mine saw Big Boy friday afternoon and his daughter saw him again yesterday morning in the same cloverfield. My buddy got close enough to him earlier in the week to snap a pic of him with his phone while he was in the tractor spreading manure... I've seen the douple-dropper buck while spotlighting every night this week on the way home from work...
  4. I can't wait...I know just where I'm going to start looking for them. The big guy has a very defined homecore area and has been spotted several times in the past couple of weeks feeding in a couple of cloverfield. His antlers won't be laying too far from here...
  5. Well, I didn't punch my tag on a last day wallhanger...but, I am happy to report that two of the top 3 bucks on this year's hitlist survived gun season!!! The buck in my avatar is alive and well and has another large antlered buddy traveling with him. Also, Little Freak-Nasty (the double drop-tine from last year) has resurfaced. Can't wait to see these two next year!!! I'm still hoping that the other buck is going to show back up too. We'll see if he does... Looks like I have some sheds to find in a few weeks.
  6. Ray Swope, poses with his monster buck he took he shot Nov. 28 in New Haven. He wrote: "A close friend and I were hunting together in the town of New Haven, Oswego County and decided to sit at opposite ends of a relatively new piece of property. I was lucky enough to see and shoot this trophy of a lifetime. The buck is a main frame 6 x 6 with a drop tine on his left side making it 13 all together. The deer dressed out at 165 on certified scales and un-officially green scores a gross total of 190 6/8” and nets after deductions 181 3/8”. The official score cannot be determined until 60 days after the kill. It’s possible that after the official scoring that this could be one of the largest bucks taken in Oswego County in many years."
  7. Wow, 15 points on one side? He must have been a real giant!!!
  8. Here's another Steuben County buck that my buddy found a couple of seasons ago that suffered the same gruesome fate... Damn, that had to hurt!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Here's another pic...source said it was found in Bradford?
  10. Luckily for me, my family has a walk in cooler. I typically let my deer hang from 5 days to a week. I have cut up many deer within hours of killing them (nuisance permits during late summer) and can tell you that there is a BIG difference in meat texture between a freshly killed deer and one that has been hanging for a week...
  11. I'm pretty certain he knows what a gun shot is by now...
  12. I'd like to feed one a bullet or broadhead...
  13. Here's a bruiser that my neighbor was watching this summer (about a mile from my house). I've never laid eyes on this guy. The pic is from mid-July so he added some tinelength on his G3 & G4's since then. I haven't heard of any one getting him. If he had a bit more mass I think that he might be a shooter...lol!!!
  14. Went out this morning with intentions of trying to fill a signed over doe tag for the owners of one of my main hunting properties. I ended up taking this nice fat doe @ 215 yds with my T/C Icon .308, the 165 grain Nosler Ballistic-tip did a number on her!!! They were happy to have some venison to put in their freezer...
  15. This years arrow was the Easton Bloodline 400's... Broadheads were Rocket Steelhead 100's...
  16. This buck is awesome. I can't wait to see some different angles of the rack. There's no tricky photography here that makes the deer appear to be larger than it actually is...it's just plain HUGE!!!!!!! Congrats to Vance on taking one of the most impressive deer in the state this season!!!
  17. It's that deer. He PM'd over the weekend to tell me what had happened. As you can imagine, he's pretty bummed out about it...
  18. That's the giant that Cabin Fever had the pics/video of!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Nice buck. I don't see anwhere close to 149" though?
  20. I was wondering about transporting it back to NY with the new CWD regs. I'm sure a TON of PA deer came in to NY in the backs of trucks over the past few days...
  21. Awesome. That's a lot of venison!!!
