Hate to do it but we moved a stand in season. The new one we put up and put in a food plot just had to be moved. Sat there the other night and two doe come out and glare right at me. I stuck out like a boner in sweatpants! And with Big Sixy on cam here we need to be concealed better. So backed it into the woods a bit. Feel much better about it now for sure. From this map alone I would say there is no way to tell or even begin to. My suggestion would be to map out a long still hunt with the wind in your face.. Be sure you know where your going, walk it all slowly and this will give you the Intel you need. Take a set of binos and spend the whole day still hunting and getting the lay of the land, pick a day when the ground is wet to do it quietly, look for food sources and bedding areas and trails being used. Up north I've found areas of beech trees I like to come back and visit by doing this that you would never know existed. But to look at just this map there is basically no way of having any real info. Lol. Yup for sure. I actually enjoy the challenge of my little hunting spot and trying to get meat in the freezer and a 5 point or better buck. Thank goodness I can afford to do that and it isn't too expensive. But if I couldn't I would be on state land like the old days. I've got buddies that are diehards into snowmobiles and motorcycles, but my thing is hunting and fishing and I am and have never been wealthy. Dudes spend money where they can on what they like. I thought Fisher but knew as soon as it was running across the trail it wasn't. Had that awkward hop run and little ears. It def made the day. I saw one cross the road at a culvert about a mile from my house a couple years ago but haven't seen one out in the wild in a long time. Def was neat to see. Hunt #6. Dark -10:00. Roadkill stand Didn't see any deer at all. Pulled cams and does out here every night last 4-5 nights at 6:30. So prob try it again tonite. And prob see nothing lol. Did see something I haven't seen in a long time. An otter. It crossed the trail and went right under the stand so I got a great look at it. Thought it was a fisher at first but it had that awkward hop and little ears. Def an otter. And I was sitting between two ponds so makes sense. Was very cool to see. Hunt #5. 4-dark. Lawn stand. Had two flatheads come out 5-6 minutes after I was in the stand but never got closer than 65 yards. I think we need to move this stand back in for more cover. They didn't bust me and tail out of there but the one was looking hard. When I got down at dark they were still just inside woods prob waiting til dark to come out and feed. i am 2.5 hours from being in a stand. Wind changed a bit so its gonna change my spot unfortunelty. Was looking forward to hunting one of my stands in particular , but have another to go to where the wind is way better.

i was walking to get to the stand and come around a corner in a trail and this yote was coming right to me but hes looking off into the brush and never even noticed me. I stopped and he got to within 30 yards and shot him. Then Im thinking damn what do i do now if he comes this way . But he just rolled there for about 5 seconds and then down. I passed on a doe that afternoon from the stand and always wished i shot it to drag both out and ask my buddy that saw nothing that night... "what else you got a tag for!?" lol
