Ended up getting skunked didn't even get a bite. We were using shrimp and chicken lovers and eel and chopped up bluefills. We fished below the cape fear river locking dam #3. The guys I went with didn't do there homework we were supposed to fish locking dam #2 but it was under construcrion. Then on the final day of the trip they found out we should have been fishing locking dam #1 in wilmington. We were in a boat and fished the same spots don't even move locations. The people on shore has better luck then we did seen a 30lber and a 10 lber. We got our the Monday before the hurricane decimated the area. To me a complete waste of time and money. Plus 3 big guys in a 16 ft duck boat can you say crammed like sardines in a can.

With the weather rainy and cold opted for some hamburger soup with onions, celery, stewed tomatoes, and regular tomatoes. Really hit the spot and 4 quarts left for leftovers.

I know of some guys that hunted just outside of town they came out with some dandys. Not that shoting a tame deer is my thing but to each there own. Would seem like filling nuisance tags seeing same deer all the time till the re dead.

Wrote that b4 i seen the last pic. Never seen signs.when I was there last year maybe I wasn't looking cuz so many other people were doing it.

But dec doesn't say anything about feeding them isn't that baiting lol. Figured they'd be handing out tickets to compensate nys. Anyone say yes lol.

Just my wife's kitchen aide mixer. Left me home with the kids and went to a new kickboxing class. Just put the taters in with butter salt pepper garlic powder onion powder and milk and hit the mixer from 1 to high lol came out pretty good. Potatoes were from my neighbors potatoes farm.

Whole smoked chicken with blue mashed tater and gravy and butternut squash.

Smoked chicken from the smoker very moist and tasty.

Got a 7lb whole chicken in the smoker with mesquite woods chips at 230'. Rubbed down with salt pepper paprika garlic powder onion powder and brown sugar. Will post pics when done. After that I'll inject with Creole butter.

Both most of the good fishing on taylor pond is done once the ice comes off for salmon and lakers as I'm told. Bowhunting is fun also enjoy whatever you cchose.

Throw a box of screws on the path and act like you did some wisecracking and scatter the grass over the top don t think you'll have to worry about the going thru again.

I just put in for my dmps got one in 4 f and put in for a second with my preference points and got denied. My wife is getting her licence too so will hope for another dmp in 4f to make our downstate trip worth the travel.

Mass and Rhode island they are grinders. I asked for a sub they said wtf. Just like ny and what we call a Michigan lol. Many call it something different enjoy your trip.

All meats already cooked and On a plate fried taters, great by itself and also great with tortilla chips. My grandma loved it will fresh hamburger from our own cows and it's great with just roast in the morning.

Just did another 7 quarts of tomatoes and 6 quarts of mild salsa and 6 1\2 pints of hot pepper jelly. Everything just about from our garden. Great year. Wife wants to do more hot pepper jelly and if tomatoes keep turning one more batch of my grandma's chili sauce.

That's how they Hunt in the adirondacks. Most camps bait and make it harder for the little man to get a deer or bear. Just find one and hunt down wind of it you'll see something. Is he a vermonter Colchester is in vermont.

I'm just looking for someone to do some hunting on state land. Not asking for any hand me outs. Just a little advice. I m getting my own dmps not asking for anyone to sign any over. I always do my homework w he n it comes to hunting. I know I'll get 4 f amp and possibly with my preference points. I'll hunt the adirondacks hard and try my luck downstate. Not meaning to offend anyone but if there's someone who doesn't mind a military vet tagging along then it is what it is.

I hunt bow and muzzleloader also just always heard of northern hunters going downstate and coming home with a truck load of deer. Just looking for s Tate land and also dmps that need to get filled. Dec says there's all these deer. But reducing the permits and everything now is about quality deer management. What happened to the day of the meat hunter.jmo!

Looking for a good area downstate for deer in the late season. Will be using a rifle and want to fill some dmps. I wanna hunt state land and am not afraid to get back off the beaten path. Was thinking around oneonta. But any recommendations would be great. I've only hunted downstate twice once in Oneonta and once in western ny near Leroy not a lot of state land out there. Anyone need a hunting partner to stay some does.

Turned the big 34 today. Spend the day helping my neighbor harvest his organic seed potatoes hoping to get permission to hunt his property a few times. Nothing special my mom got me and electric fryer able to get up to a 20 pound turkey. Few other useful items. But like I said just another day. Man it was hot.

Leaving tomorrow morning and will be back on Monday night. Super psyched to get on the water after a long trip. Hoping they come through with the temps in the nineties the whole time during the day. Then the hurricane that's coming in.
