Sorry guys shtty night out hit the local american legion which was great. Good laughs convo etc. Went to the next local bar 115 minutes to get a drink. 45 minutes for sam's club chicken strips and mozzarella sticks. Then to top it off waited for quick draw ten minutes at the bar as the matron talked with her friends. Bad food bad experience and will not go back again to much drama. Better food waiting at home lol

Did homemade fish chowder. Used cod, onions, celery, clam juice, Yukon gold pots, bacon grease, thyme, and half and half. Turned out great.
-
Where was it killed? Northern or southern zone? Bigger thenany ive ever killed.
-
Don't be disappointed just be happy with the meat in the freezer. Horns are just a bonus. Nice looking buck otherwise.
-

Made baked spaghetti with the leftovers from last night topped with mozzarella. Then a loaf of Italian garlic bread with parmesan and reggano cheese. Chaser a bud light.

Complete lose and build from the ground up is that what your saying. Let us know if they need help with anything.

Was this your first year starting out? I know I hunted hard and even being in the military had little time to hunt. I never killed my big woods buck till I was 22 years old. It gets frustrating but don't give up. Itll happen eventually.
-
That's the way I plan on making mine too. Me I love my clam chowder both manhattan and new England but My wife who is from mass only likes manhattan style.
-
That sounds really good ive been wanting to do a perch or pike fish chowder. Was it new England style or like manhattan

You hunt big woods or small parcels or are you a field hunter.
-
That buck with the big horns is out there somewhere sometimes there very elusive but they do slip up once in awhile.

I know hunting's hard especially hunting the Adirondacks some times its about luck and being at the right place at the right time. Plus a lot of time and effort put into it.

That's what I like to see all yarded up for winter. Where's this located upstate or downstate ny. In a couple months they'll disperse and have their little one.

Burgers on the grill and homemade French fries. Burger will be on a toasted potato roll and topped with lettuce tomato and onions. Feels like grilling season with the temps in the 50's.
-
Not to be personal but how did you lose your arm? Where you military? Ive got a lot of buddies with prosthetics. A lot complain about the injured area always being like raw or chafted.

I know up here in up state we cant keep good restaurants. Never made it to the one in Vermont. Those girls in Syracuse and Hawaii were legit. For Vermont Biz give a country girl a chance what she lacks in looks might give you the ride of your life lol.

I know what all of you are thinking I know when I was in my service days. Stationed at Fort Drum NY and Schofield Barracks Hawaii. I always like frequenting hooters at the mall in Syracuse and in Waikiki. Always left feeling good nothing like good food and good service while seeing dime pieces and also cant forget nice hooters. I love the breaded hot wings and the buffalo chicken sandwich. Waiting to hear.

We have curling at our American legion winter fest and most of the people competing are hammered from start to finish. But its all in good fun.

Me the wife and her friend hit up Mickey's restaurant and lounge today in Plattsburgh Ny. Very good Italian restaurant. Appetizer was buffalo bleu cheese nachos. Then our lunch I had the chicken parm grinder debate whether to get the spaghetti bolengese. They both had calzones. Tonight left over chicken broccoli and noodles in cheddar cream of chicken sauce. Also very tasty. Nothing better good food, conversation and not being rush out of a restaurant like other places.

Chicken and broccoli in cream of chicken mixed with egg noodles. Really hit the spot for a quick meal.
